Hey all ... @MDT @Shaz51 @Appleblossom @Adge @Snowie @Valentine @WriterMelb @TAB and anyone else around tonight. @Mazarita @Zoe7 @CheerBear @Maggie @Faith-and-Hope@Bunniekins @outlander @Exoplanet @Sans911 Hope you've all had a nice evening so far. I spent 2 hours with my peer mentor here working on my resume ... turned 6 pages of chaos from my last job application 11 years ago into 1 page that sums things up and which I feel really good about. Skills, goals, work and voluntary experience, education and referees. And no obvious long gaps which amazes me. And all true!!! I can't thank her enough and said so. Will take her out to celebrate next time I see her. She's a pretty amazing person - shares my experience living with complex PTSD and bipolar 1 and is also a medical doctor. Really down to earth too. Currently doing a degree in how NDIS processes affect our mental health - very important work in my opinion. I feel lucky to have met her through the local disability alliance, which I hope to do training with and ultimately work for facilitating workshops etc. Feels like such a huge milestone to have done this. And so good for my self-worth. I actually feel like I've something to offer the world again.

Just wanted to share my positive experience. I think I'm on a bit of a high having done it. Time for a wee dram to celebrate!

Hey @eth thanks for the intro this morning. I usually miss the Saturday Soiree as it's usually a long day of work (my work has shut down) for me but instead I had a lazy sleep in and did a spot of housework.
