@TAB I suppose they weren't sure if they wanted to stay (?). I wonder how much one would cost these days?

@TAB @eth Okay I have had a look and there are many dugouts for sale all around the $200k mark.

@TAB @Bunniekins sounds a lot like Lightning Ridge where I spent some time during a post-trauma period of panic and manic. Oh the stories I could tell. Have written some of it as a short story that I should do some more work on. I don't put them on the forums because I share them at readings and with writing groups (may get published) and they could be identifying. Let's just say it's the wild frontier and I was appropriately wild at the time!

well cheap house vs cheap dugouts @Bunniekins and I barely looked plus searched low to high

@TAB I dont know if I could live in a dug out .... I feel claustophobia really bad you know..... would feel the whole thing would collapse on me during the night whilst I was asleep.t

theyre really solid and stable @Bunniekins although I did end up sleeping in the one room that had windows lol
