I can understand why you are glad to be out of retail @Appleblossom

I would love to get out, have been doing it since 1986......but you need so many qualifications to do any job these days, makes it hard to get out........this week was not bad actually which was good, hoping it stays that way, but you know customers this time of the year, grumpy and complain about the tiniest things.....I mean really!!!!!!!

Well after work yesterday I did 3/4 of my xmas shopping, just waiting on Mum to tell me what she wants and get another couple of things for my sister and I am done and dusted. Going to do some wrapping this arvo (or might have a nanna nap see how we go lol). I like to get my shopping done before December hits if possible, the last thing I want to do in December is shop when I am putting up with people shopping at work all day.....

Glad you got to see your Mum the night before she passed........I never got to say goodbye to my father which still hurts till this day.....

One thing about getting older is gaining wisdom about knowing when to leave and finding a way around the otherwise unavoidable -

Actually I realised it's my ex-h's birthday today - aw - he is getting older faster than me - I won't say how old but it's getting up there

Convos here are really good for me when things are not easy - maybe for a lot of people - this is a plan for this year

My parents anniversaries are 8 days apart - in January - maybe I should be here those days myself

Sleeping in on a Saturday is something I really enjoy and there was no little kid kicking his football around the driveway outside the units - that's a plus

I am not fond of any canned music either - esp worn-out Christmas music - and all the Christmas stuff around the shops too - it's glittery but so much same-old same-old

This time of year has some hard memories for many of us

I love my Saturday morning sleep ins as well @Owlunar . Glad there was no ball kicking this morning.....nothing worse. People over the road from me used to play basketball in the driveway a lot and you would hear bounce, bounce constantly, but they have stopped doing it for ages now thank goodness.......

Yes xmas is not a happy time for many, many people around the world for many different reasons..................

Old remote with sticky-keys - that would do it Tabs

New equipment seems to have more IT and mind-control - I really hate it if I programme something in and it doesn't record

My batteries getting flat and it's time to eat - back soon

That bounce-bounce-bounce could be more than irritating - I live in units with a long drive with a slope so kids sometimes come here and skateboard down the drive and they don't live here - the man in the front unit is a policeman and sends them away effectively which is good

But kids playing is okay - it could be something worse - living in units can sometimes mean worse than noisy neighbours - needing police attention -

I move here 16 years ago and it was a relief to move away from that rather dangerous neighbourhood
