Why do some of my posts not get posted?

Hello,

I've written 2 posts in the last week that did not get posted. Both probably had sensitive wording in them but I did not receive any feedback about the posts. Do posts just get deleted without me being notified?

1) I will take better care to save & post my posts, to avoid writing an essay that never gets posted in the future.

2) I fully understand and agree with feeling rejected when something does not get posted. I also understand the need for moderation. I think it is very tricky to combine the two. Perhaps we should start a thread where we can share how we feel when our posts get "rejected or "moderated" and when a moderator has to do their duty, they could refer to the thread especially for newbies so they get a bit more understanding? It took me a long time to understand why some of my posts did not get published (on another side) so I am not as sensitive now - but it still hurts, especially when I feel low. When a post needs moderation - does the writer get an immediate notification? How long would it usually take for a comment to be sent back from a moderator? I think response time is important in this case.

Ideally we'd email you immediately when a post is moved @Former-Member. But it sometimes takes longer depending on what else we're doing. Often mods are multi-tasking and have other responsibilities within their respective organisations so emails can be delayed. It probably took me about 40 minutes to find a window to email a member this morning. You can always email us at team@saneforums.org if a post has gone missing and you can't understand why. It'll at least prompt a 'sorry, haven't had a chance to....' response.

Just to add to what the others have said, we will always try and work with a member to get their post live - that's our main priority. You may have noticed in our emails (if you've had something removed before) we highlight the breach of guideline, we include the initial post and make some suggestions on alternative options to still get your post live, and not to lose its context, while also maintaining the guidelines.

I'm still at a loss as to what's happened to your posts.. I've done some investigating and can't find any posts of yours that have been removed.

If this happens again, please let us know so we can get to the bottom of it!
