Mother's Day

Mother's Day

I am very emotional tonight. After a very emotional session with my DBT therapist I am feeling really down. I just want to cry more.

Mother's Day is hard for me because my mum and dad aren't talking to me. Not even talking to my adult children.

I just feel so lost as a daughter. I know I am a mum; I have a daughter and 2 sons who I know will spoil me on Mother's Day.

I just feel so rejected and hurt by my own mum; something that I don't know if I will ever forget.

Sounds like a good idea @BlueBay. Hope you sleep well and find tomorrow a bit better. Remember "this too shall pass". Nite nite.

I just received an email from moderators. I'm not ok but I'm going to bed. Hoping tomorrow is a better day but I'm not so sure.

Hi sadgirl 🌸

Sorry to hear you are feeling down tonight.

Sleep helps us to restore our balance, and tomorrow is another day.

Breathe in, then let the anger go as you breathe out. Breathe in a fresh clean breath, then blow the anger out with the breath you are letting go. Fresh breath in, angry breath out. You can do it.

Rest well. Be well. I look forward to hearing from you tomorrow. 💌 ... ❤️

Hi @Former-Member @Faith-and-Hope @MoonGal @Mazarita @eth

Just wanted to let you all know that I am okay. I still feel teary and sad but ok. Thank you for everyones posts; they mean so much to me to feel loved and supported. I think I scared a few of you last night with one of my posts; I am sorry it wasn't meant to worry anyone. I wasn't in a good frame of mind and SH was on my mind quite a bit. But I never got that far. I was in tears before reading all your comments to me; I feel so special to be involved in this amazing forum with the most amazing people who understand and look out for each other. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

This morning at 8am my 24yr old daughter came in our bedroom with our dog to give me my mother's day present. She wrote the most beautiful words in her card that I started crying. She wrote that I deserve happiness, health and positive energy. She is such a beautiful soul. She also said that everything I have and am going through the bad times that I am strong to get through. She is amazing.

She then put something on facebook that made me cry even more.

My two boys are out but we will be having dinner tonight together. I am sure they have something for me.

I am so blessed to have 3 amazing children who have turned out to be fantastic adults.

We went to see my MIL in the nursing home and she is deteriorating with her dementia. We only stayed for a little while.

We are home now watching 'The Dressmaker' movie. It's raining outside so it's nice to be indoors. Might even have an afternoon nap later on!!!

I hope that all mums on this forum have a beautiful Mother's Day and you are all in my thoughts for today. Have a nice day.

Thinking of you all and thanking you all again. xxxxxoooo
