Checking In

I thought I would start a new discussion/thread for us to check in, and especially when needing extra support. I hope this helps 😃

Re: Checking In

You have the right to yeah @oceangirl

I think it depends on private or public health though but not 100% on that. Depends how you got them. But I do know you can switch. Nothing prevents that.

How is your MH? Do you think your health/surgery stuff has affected your MH?

Sometimes our situation can worsen things

Re: Checking In

He is a allied health professional @MDT

My MH is not so good but I am trying my best. That is why I am concerned about the allied health person because I don't want to be triggered. I get the sense from him that I am not good enough etc. And that really affects me.The surgery has impacted my MH and I was hoping it would help with this but unfortunately it has not. Over time it may help, I am still in the early stages after my surgery.

Re: Checking In

Hmm very well @oceangirl

It may be best to get a new professional. What is allied health anyway?

Re: Checking In

@MDT allied health professionals are basically professionals working in health but arent drs or nurses ( and dentists i think) so like occupational or physical therapist, speech therapist, chiropractor um osetotherapy. Heaps more but you get what i mean.

Re: Checking In

Hey @oceangirl I’m glad your surgery went well. But I’m sorry you’re struggling. I know that feeling.

Msybe a change would be good. Different person different ideas and support.

Take care ❤️

Re: Checking In

Hi @oceangirl ,

From reading ur replies to others on this thread, it sounds to me like u might benefit from a change of health professionals. It is important that u are comfortable and feel supported by ur health professionals.

I'm sorry I can't offer much else in the way of advice or support, I'm in a rly bad way myself. But I wish u all the best with ur decision and possibly finding someone who is more suited to u. Best wishes.

Re: Checking In

Hi @Doglover @BlueBay @outlander @MDT @Meowmy

I've had a ruff night with Kira being sick all of last night- I only got a few hours sleep. And today I needed to go through and mop and disinfect the entire house and wash lots of towels. I have taken Kira to the vet and have been and done a grocery shop and mowed the lawns. And now I am cooking dinner and then going to tidying through. The pups keep me busy...
