Checking In

I thought I would start a new discussion/thread for us to check in, and especially when needing extra support. I hope this helps 😃

Re: Checking In

@Meowmy I don't have much support either. I hope the psychologist is helping you. What groups have you joined?

Re: Checking In

@oceangirl Hello and good morning. How are you going today? I am thinking of joining a walking group. I joined a local social group last week.

It is hard today. Trying to do things to lift my depression.

Wish you a good day.

@Meowmy Sorry I missed you earlier tody. I am feeling a bit better, thanks for asking. The walking group sounds awesome. The walking group will be good for you. Re: Checking In

@oceangirl Thanks for reply. I watched TV for one hour and more. Feeling a lot better. I think because I was used so much as a emotional providing toy by my father. It is a bit hard for me to spend time with myself alone. I think my need for intense emotional connections need to be worked through to a more normal state.

Thanks for care. I went to a breakfast with the local social group yesterday. It was quite pleasant.

Th first meeting for the walking group will be Monday week.

I will keep you posted re social connections. Take care.

Re: Checking In

Your welcome @Meowmy . I am glad you're feeling better.

You seem to be brighter and more relaxed. I hope you're able to work through your tramua and confusion. Do you feel you need intense relationships or have I got that wrong- I am just clarifying what you mean.

Its good that you got out of the house this morning, that would have been good for you. I am happy to hear it was a positive experience for you. Have you ever read a book by Pia Mellody- facing codependence? It might be worth a read- I think it might help you. Perhaps you could work on it with your psychologist. Thanks for keeping me in the loop.

Cheers OG

Hi @Queenie

How are you?

Re: Checking In

Hello @Ali11 @oceangirl @Meowmy @Appleblossom and anyone else following my journey at present.

I am still waiting for a bed in hospital. Could be waiting a while. I had a major meltdown last night and ended up scaring my Mrs and hurting myself, so today I am in quite a bit of pain and our relationship has taken a blow. I feel really guilty for that. I was totally overwhelmed at the time and distressed (obviously). She was going to call emergency services as we were staying in a hotel in the city for the weekend. I'm glad she didn't. It was severe lack of sleep, and what my GP calls florid hallucinations and delusionary thinking (apparently).

I am hoping against hope that a vacancy in hospital happens soon.

Re: Checking In

Hi again @Queenie

Thank you for checking in. I don't know what to say but I am worried about you of course. I hope they find a bed for you soon. I am sorry about last night, it was a tough night for you and your wife. I hope you can repair your relationship with your wife and you guys can work together as a team.

Does the hospital know that you need a bed ASAP I do know most private hospitals have a few beds for an emergency. I am not sure if that is the case with the private hospital you're trying to get admitted into.

@Faith-and-Hope could you give @Queenie a bit of support please

Re: Checking In

Oh @Queenie, we're so sorry to hear about that! Are you okay? Don't be too hard on yourself, it's still fresh now but your partner is aware of what you've been going through and that you're doing your best to get that hospital bed, so hopefully this doesn't cause too much of a blow in the long run. Have the two of you been speaking today about what happened? Sending you love!
