That would be my Mum @Bunniekins , before she gave up her driving in her early 80s she was one speeding ticket off losing her licence.

Mum has muscle atrophy --- awwwwww

Is that muscle wasting due to injury or inactivity @Shaz51 ? Is it painful, reversible or treatable?

the doctor said there was 3 resons why @Former-Member , @Former-Member

one is her age , being 88

and the second is inactivity as mum does not want to do things , she wants to stay at home

the 3rd reason is nutrition , as she has bowel obstructions , most of or all her nutrition goes down the toilet as @Adge knows xxx

Yes unfortunately I'm very familiar with bowel dysfunction @Shaz51

Most of my nutrition goes straight out too - that's been the case for the past 5 years.

Not fun, I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

As for Scooters @Bunniekins I've been nearly run down by them, several times.

One time a Scooter was very very slowly crossing a major road, where there was No Crossing, & No Break in the traffic.

The Scooter driver forced two entire lanes of traffic, with about 10 cars - to stop & wait.

Very dangerous.

she is worried about falling again since she broke her hip in february and she keeps telling me she is getting dementia @Former-Member , @Former-Member , @Bunniekins , @Appleblossom , @Owlunar

We need those moments to help cope with the other ...
