Exo's Exposé

Exo's Exposé

Looking for somewhere to hide in the Forum, no offense to anyone, I'm just kinda used to my own space - it feels safer to me. I often feel like I'm 'butting in' on other threads, I want to say something but it isn't 'in-line' with the current flow of conversation.

It rained here yesterday, dogs & cats weren't falling from the sky, but the grounds wet, there's puddles in my driveway & it's soooooooo sooooooo much cooler 😄 Guru Google even promises more!! After this weird wet stuff stopped dropping from above, I took the dogs for their walk, I do this almost every afternoon, but after a storm with close lightning strikes, my main purpose is to check the fence is still upright everywhere. I'm happy to announce it was all in tip-top shape 🙂 I noticed new puddle spots all the way around, I was sad that some trees had to be pushed over for the fence line, but the dip of their absence looks quite beautiful with a drop of moisture shimmering within. When I had completed the usual circuit I by-passed returning into the house-yard & wandered through to the dam. I think I may have been a little rain-drunk, I was hoping to see water in it, there wasn't any. I even went & stood in the very center of it's base, I think I was expecting to sink in mud - I didn't; but the cracks are gone . . . & they were huge. So if the Guru comes through with it's promise, there may yet be a puddle for my Staffy to play in 😉

I've decided to leave my camping trip to the beach for another week, rain wouldn't stop me - it rarely rains 24 hrs a day, but storms have - they often have devastingly strong winds that can break off & pick up reasonably heavy objects, that become dangerous ammunition. I've been emailing with the owners of this place, I'll still be in the off-peak season if I leave it another week - though I worry being so close to the Easter holiday, there's a more likely chance of more people. I keep telling myself I've just got to 'get over' that, that that would be all part of the experience - but I know I'm lying to myself. I picked this spot mainly because of the dog-friendly off-lead beach, but also because on the satelite view of Google maps I could see that there's no towns around it. It's one of the most isolated camping parks I've seen {that's within 5 hours of home, well - maybe just a little more}. It also admits it has old amenities, I saw negitive feedback about the place for those reasons - I think if you want to go to a resort . . . that's where you go - not to a place that describes itself as a rustic, old fashioned bush camping park 😉

Re: Exo's Exposé

Hi @frog having a rough trot mentally this past week, unstable, depressed, tears, dark, emotionally turbulent sleepless nights, struggling to contain irritability and anger sometimes, a rise in gruelling days of general anxiety.

On the other hand I'm mostly remaining consistent in keeping up with NDIS and other activities, mostly 'just showing up', getting out and about solo on buses and trains instead of relying on someone giving me lifts.

Went for a bushwalk with my support worker in a small national park on the edge of the city earlier in the week, saw a kangaroo passing close, fantastic. About 4kms that day, double my usual upper limit. Nature and walking without talking, my favourite thing at the moment.

Hi @Exoplanet wondering if you are still preparing for the trip, or if you are there now. Either way, love and hugs to you.

Hi everyone reading.

Mazy @Mazarita @Zoe7 @eth @frog @Sophia1 @Shaz51 @Appleblossom @outlander

Sorry to hear your having a rough trot Mazy, but it doesn't entirely surprise me as your really pushing yourself hard these days {I think it's a good thing}. Going on public transport alone! Keeping up with activities & 4km walks! I hope the beading is relaxing for you, you've made some
professional looking necklaces there, & that they have such sentimental value, I hope that caused some really positive feelings whilst you created them too
I'm still preparing, in one week exactly today, I'll be at my Sisters. We're going to go visit an old Aunt that day, I'll spend the night at my Sisters & then I'll head to the seaside for 4 days
& 4 nights! 🙂 I washed the little fella yesterday so that I can clip his face, feet, belly & bottom today :0 I'm hoping I can get both the dogs nails clipped next week. I've got just about everything aside,
apart from the stuff I use on a daily basis . . . & I got a list for
all of those 😉 I've got that swirling stomach feeling, that radiates into my chest & legs. I have a sense of being rushed, of running out of time {hell, I have that feeling constantly these days}- yet I've been packing & preparing for the past week. The joy of fear - excitement, but there is a definite feeling of dread, of all the things that could go wrong & it increases as the date gets closer, until on
the day {or the night before} it gets too much . . . & the blur begins.

Love to you all & all those that need or want it

@Exoplanet

You are so thorough and organised, with animals and all the other stuff, but I know it is essential for being on the road, takes lots of effot and attention. YOU ROCK WOMAN!

@frog

I am a lot calmer this weekend than last. Just stuff we have to go through I guess. Hugs to you.

@Mazarita

I hope eventually you find travelling on public transport more of a joy, as I have. Just watching and meditating and feeling free to have little moments with people as they present ... helped balance my attitude to humankind in general ...
