Exo's Exposé

Exo's Exposé

Looking for somewhere to hide in the Forum, no offense to anyone, I'm just kinda used to my own space - it feels safer to me. I often feel like I'm 'butting in' on other threads, I want to say something but it isn't 'in-line' with the current flow of conversation.

It rained here yesterday, dogs & cats weren't falling from the sky, but the grounds wet, there's puddles in my driveway & it's soooooooo sooooooo much cooler 😄 Guru Google even promises more!! After this weird wet stuff stopped dropping from above, I took the dogs for their walk, I do this almost every afternoon, but after a storm with close lightning strikes, my main purpose is to check the fence is still upright everywhere. I'm happy to announce it was all in tip-top shape 🙂 I noticed new puddle spots all the way around, I was sad that some trees had to be pushed over for the fence line, but the dip of their absence looks quite beautiful with a drop of moisture shimmering within. When I had completed the usual circuit I by-passed returning into the house-yard & wandered through to the dam. I think I may have been a little rain-drunk, I was hoping to see water in it, there wasn't any. I even went & stood in the very center of it's base, I think I was expecting to sink in mud - I didn't; but the cracks are gone . . . & they were huge. So if the Guru comes through with it's promise, there may yet be a puddle for my Staffy to play in 😉

I've decided to leave my camping trip to the beach for another week, rain wouldn't stop me - it rarely rains 24 hrs a day, but storms have - they often have devastingly strong winds that can break off & pick up reasonably heavy objects, that become dangerous ammunition. I've been emailing with the owners of this place, I'll still be in the off-peak season if I leave it another week - though I worry being so close to the Easter holiday, there's a more likely chance of more people. I keep telling myself I've just got to 'get over' that, that that would be all part of the experience - but I know I'm lying to myself. I picked this spot mainly because of the dog-friendly off-lead beach, but also because on the satelite view of Google maps I could see that there's no towns around it. It's one of the most isolated camping parks I've seen {that's within 5 hours of home, well - maybe just a little more}. It also admits it has old amenities, I saw negitive feedback about the place for those reasons - I think if you want to go to a resort . . . that's where you go - not to a place that describes itself as a rustic, old fashioned bush camping park 😉

Hello @Shaz51 & @Bunniekins

I had a physio appointment & it went fine. I was recommended to & ended up buying, the most expensive singlets, I think, in the World! $150 for 2 . . . the second one was half price! I went to the actual shop that the physio lady had brought up on the internet on her phone. It was a sports shop {boy did I feel odd being in there, . . . middle aged smoker & all!}, & they are actually compression singlets. Appartently my 'crop-top' didn't fit the bill, it needs to cover all my torso, including my back. I wonder if I've just wasted a bunch of money, the whole supposed to avoid heat & bugs . . . it's simply impossible where I live {& how I live}. Anyhow, I did it all myself, the appointment, the shop, I even booked my car in {that's going to cost a fortune!} & I'm a bit choofed with myself about that 🙂 I head back in on Friday for the car, then I'm thinking of visiting my Sister & Daughter on Monday . . . . I'm getting out there 😄

@Exoplanet Hey Exoplanet gosh those singlets are insanely expensive :o! but must be hard wearing and will last the distance :). Good luck with the car hoping it doesnt cost the earth (mine is due to go in for service and reg check). Can hardly wait for that one ..... Really happy that you are seeing your sister and daughter soon :D. Take good care of yourself. Love peaxxx

"Choofed with myself" sounds great. Keep remembering that feeling. I have sometimes railed against expensive items for health, eg supplements or expensive pillow, but over all I end up being glad I made them priorities as my health did benefit, so they paid off.

Take Care

preparing yourself to visit sister and daughter ...a road trip with your furry animals...

definitely something to look forward to seeing them both and I know that they will love to see you in return..

Have I already told you that you continue to be an inspiration?

Oh I did..

no matter I have just told you again..

love that you feel such a sense of connection with your fencing as that was a very difficult time for you...disappointments and let downs along the way...then along came a decent man who sorted the job for you..

Re: Exo's Exposé

I'm back home from my trip, it was wonderful & exhausting! 😄 I'm a little worse for wear, but it was absolutely worth it 😄 My Daughter gave me a little necklace, a little pendant on a leather strap, the pendant says 'I love you to the moon & back', she'd sent me a facebook message that explained the human heart pumps enough blood to go to the moon & back in a lifetime, so when someone says 'I love you to the moon & back, it means they'll love you their whole life ❤️ She also gave me a braclet made of little volcanic rocks that you can put essential oils on, I chose wild lavender - & she gave them to me 'just because' ❤️ I also got a delicious lamb dinner & lots of attention & hugs from my grandbabies ❤️ ❤️ Like I said, absolutely worth it ❤️ I dropped in at my Sisters on the way there & on the way back, which made the trip possible - I think I would have had to stop & sleep in the car on the way back if I didn't have contact back with my sister & been able to stop in there.

Love to all that need or want it ❤️

Hello @eth @Shaz51 @Sophia1 @Appleblossom @Bunniekins & Everyone

Hope everyone's doing Ok 🙂 I'm doing well, the back of my right shoulder is a bit noticable, but I got a call yesterday for an physio appt; not from the city hospital, though I would call this place a rural city . . . but they come out my way once a month {the city . . . you have to go there}. It's another appt I didn't make, must all be part of the public system, but I'm grateful for it, maybe there's some new exercise that will help?

Words don't seem to want to flow for me at the moment, it's like I'm over the obvious physical exhaustion of the trip, but the not so obvious physical stuff is taking it's time. The trip really took it out of me, I know I'm not going to be able to do that as often as I did. My Daughter knows I want to take the visits in turn, so now I find out how long before she decides to visit; I don't think my Sister's going to visit me again. The cancer has been removed, I'm doing ok, so I can be forgotten again.

Love to all that need or want it
