Caffeine/Nicotine
So I’ve started this thread. @Bunniekins please read the post in ‘good morning’ section of the forums. Thanks for advice/help. It is truely scary to reflect back on where you can go in your own mind.

@Alacarte I remember when I cut down on caffine I got awful debilitating migraines that had me in bed for a day and a half and that was only coffee .... what you attempted doing was incredible. Goes to show what a strong person you are. You will do this.
Will be interesting to see what the doc says about how to go about detoxing yourself. God you will not know yourself when you have all of that sh1t out of your body.
What amazes me is how caffine addiction let alone smoking creeps up on you. Starting with one cup of coffee to another then another and before you know it you are in trouble.

@Bunniekins I know right. I started drinking cans of coke as an alternative to the 1.5-2L of vodka/bourbon I used th drink a day. That was 3 years ago. Now as my addictive personality will attest I’m flying high but still get a good nights sleep of 6 hrs. Go figure. I just love the feeling of being alive and the blend does that to me. It’s just got slightly out of control...
Yes I’m glad to have parents support. I’ve tried on my own now and that didn’t work.
Has anyone else tried to give up this level of caffeine?
I missed my meds, which are an important part of my recovery for me, and now my alcohol dreams are back where I’m at a party and can drink a couple and stop. It’s amazing how the brain tries to trick you. Had to convince myself this morning it was just a dream.
And my mental health was poor, I’m pretty sure I cried at the shops on Thursday night. I saw a housemate and he questioned what was wrong but I had a mission to accomplish. Hope he understands. Same with the staff, I hope they don’t judge me.
