What @#$$%$ me off about being a woman .... post for women. Men welcome if feeling brave :-)

What @#$$%$ me off about being a woman .... post for women. Men welcome if feeling brave :-)

Hi everyone I was wondering if I was alone in my unhappiness at times about being a woman. I would love to step into the role of a man just for 24 hours and see how it feels. I mean to be a man with all the genitalia etc. It would be an interesting and eye opening experience.

Anyway this is what I hate about being a woman.

* Periods

* women's illnesses eg: UTIs (I know men can get them but women are more prone), endometriosis

* menopause

* societies expectations on appearance, mothering (or not), career

* left on the shelf after the age of 50 (not that I really care as I don't want a partner but for those who do it is a very real problem)

* even trivial things like our clothes cost more than mens, shoes etc

* we generally age physically more than men (more prone to osteopriosis)

Just having a grizzle ... oh and boobs I hate my b00bs (wish I had tiny b00bs ....) .... Anyone else want to be a man for 24 hours to try it out and see what we are missing?

I hate feeling scared. All the time. I hate being treated at times like my sadness and my fury are inherently female. I hate the feelings I have towards men when I think about intimacy and that I’m still dazzled by them 😒

Hey @Alacarte (I don't think we've 'met' before - nice to meet you!) I really appreciated reading your post 🙂 I can't imagine what it would be like to be a man who might not fit stereotypical masculinity all the time (by doing things like sharing emotions and being emotional). I have a mix of male and female kids and I feel for my son who is already feeling the impact of being physically little, emotional, mostly gentle, not totally into "boys" stuff etc. I wish the world was more accepting of difference. I think we're getting there but there is a way to go.

Hi @Battered-Sav and nice to meet you too. I hate feeling scared too and that intimacy can be difficult. It sucks 😏

Good to read through this thread @Bunniekins 👍🙂

@Battered-Sav Hi Battered-Sav and welcome I would have to agree about being 'dazzled by them'. It is hard to put into words (it is not a sexual thing for me as I am a heterosexual female) but to have that natural strength that they have just for 24 hours would be an eye opening experience. greenpea

Thanks @CheerBear 🙂 xxxx

@CheerBear Hey. I’m not much one for labels but I’d say I’m probably heteroflexible. Or maybe pansexual as I think I could be with anyone who I love. Predominantly heterosexual all my life though because I’ve met women I loved but you never know. 😉 I saw the rainbow and wondered if you wondered. And yes as a gay guy recently asked me ‘you can be with a woman as well?’ Lol I had to laugh at that one cause he didn’t get it.

Take care of you!
