oh how wonderful, im glad you had a nice weekend and a nice drive. i love rain, the same as you on a tin roof it is just comforting. yes, i feel the same, i have so many low days the good days are extra special.
it is a shame your family is not supportive in doing weekend getaways, i hope you still find ways to have special weekends. it is so good to see you having good days too 🙂

We do get to share in a lot of other amazing experiences, so it's not really a complaint .... more an appreciation. We have a blended culture, and these are aspects of my culture I would like to have upheld as well, but we do pretty well with the balance generally.
Yes, the good times are bittersweet interludes.

oh im glad @Faith-and-Hope it is nice to have a blended culture, it makes empathy for others more attainable. so many peoplen ow have become so insular, they don't want to mix with others or learn new cultures. it is so sad. i struggle to identify with the Australian culture as i am not into the things most people my age are into. so i am sort of a lost soul in society.
yes that is a perfect way to put it, they are bittersweet, you do realise what good times are like. and what you are missing out on. i feel the same way
