The Beer Garden

The Beer Garden

i encourage you all to join me for some casual drinking, social lubrication and light laughter right here in the beer garden.

Oh and before anyone gets up in arms about alcohol and its dangers the main beer on tap is VB or virtual beer

beer is the third most commonly consumed drink in the world behind water and tea

why not share the worlds joy with friends

Re: The Beer Garden

I just put my little man to bed he was being so naughty, and I am tired.
No not annoying. That's horrible to feel that way.
I used to cry in the night too, after s2 especially when he a baby. It was all wrong.
Can u tell hubby how u feel? Or does he not 'get it' and dismiss it or just take over?
You know it's not your fault they way you process and see the world.
Maybe he doesn't have the tools to help.
I think some men are not 'emotionally available' or you could look at situation of what you looked for when choosing him.
Apparently women choose for different reasons.

You mentioned he can appear controlling?
Does this mean you feel an element of not being safe to tell him thing's?
Maybe this clue will tell you why this is so?
No doubt you have done this.
If it helps to talk it through I'm happy to listen. 😊

..yep ..another life lived re them .. @Former-Member father was on Russian Front for over 2 years, went to other side of world after ..to get away most likely ..mums family was from England 100 years before then, she was an aussie well a churchy lol ..funny, when was at uni forever ago, a lecturer was talking about the Depression in the US and turning lights off to save power etc, father was the same, doors had to be shut when hot, blinds down, lights on in only one room at a time, well when we were on the farm as kids anyway ..thought it was just him..

Re: The Beer Garden

Yes I had the book Blue Fin @TAB...I didn't read it all, but yes recall it scared me!
Interesting author heh?
I think German food sounds. nice. I'm not sure I'd eat it all the time. Sometimes all the European stuff 'at home roots' is annoying. But maybe its attitude of work hard, deny mental weakness etc.
To me that's stupid!

Re: The Beer Garden

I'm just a tired cranky b####, lol @Former-Member 😂
Not really. I do get pretty cranky though.
We're both not perfect.
Because of PTSD I really shouldn't have gotten married. I'm working on myself 😀

I went to psycholgist years ago for help with marriage (to get help to work on myself ) so that I could help our marriage. She said, why don't you leave him. What the heck? ????
He's not a bad guy, I wanted to fix things. She was serious, I hadn't said anything bad about him, just that I needed help to get myself right. I was shocked. She was in her 3 marriage.
I'm wondering if I'll ever cope with marriage.

I still haven't got my cuppa, lol.

You need to get to bed if you're feeling stressed leia. I don't want to keep you up. Sounds like you need relax time. 😨💜

Re: The Beer Garden

..was the bit where they got in trouble with storm, descriptions of leaking gas etc re me re Blue Fin @Former-Member ,.. and totally agree re mental illness comment etc, but 'they' are way more different than 'we' realise .. apart from looking physically similar .. eg different ways of looking at things, different roles of society to help those that can't help themselves, not like here or God forbid, America.. Someone I met at uni who was 'older' and was from europe originally had done a Phd thesis on children of European immigrants, as in how they coped with their parents etc .. will try to find it one day when I remember ..lol @Former-Member @Former-Member

Re: The Beer Garden

Interesting re phd thesis @TAB

Have you been to country where your dad was from? If not, any interest in going back? I've been twice to country where parents were from.
Will take daughter some day. Need to get on top of anxiety etc first.
I'm hoping maybe after she finishes school.
