The Beer Garden

The Beer Garden

i encourage you all to join me for some casual drinking, social lubrication and light laughter right here in the beer garden.

Oh and before anyone gets up in arms about alcohol and its dangers the main beer on tap is VB or virtual beer

beer is the third most commonly consumed drink in the world behind water and tea

why not share the worlds joy with friends

Re: The Beer Garden

We had leftovers @Shaz51 😆
I added more salmon etc. It was actually quite nice.
Can you make something easy for dinner?

Yes, I'm going easy with the exercise. ☺
I've overdone it before and I just go backwards when I do.
I just want to be well NOW. 😮
I'm sure we all do. 💕

Must be hard for you not feeling well and then caring for your hubby. You are amazing.

I was a carer for a few years, quite a few years ago. This person need help with everything. Wasn't able to do much at all, due to muscle loss. Was in a wheelchair. It becomes very involving and emotionally draining. This person was very close to me.
They have other help now. I just couldn't cope doing it anymore.
It broke my heart having to hand the care over to someone else. It breaks my heart seeing them deteriorate. 😢

Sorry for the sad story.

Do you watch Home and Away?
I know it's a bit of a silly show, but I like to have a show where I can switch off to life for a short while. It's on for an hour tonight. 😊💕

Re: The Beer Garden

Hi @TAB, I braved it for a while pulling weeds, but the bites haven't resulted in blisters, so I'm happy 🙂

Yes, Rid is good 😉

It's another new day but right now I'm hanging for a good strong coffee. I'm starting back on the graveyard shift tonight so come midday I'll go back to bed for a kip.

It's my Mum's birthday today. She would have turned 104 if she were still alive. I still celebrate her birthday so I'll go out today and buy a smart outfit in her honour and have a fancy lunch somewhere special on her behalf.

Looks as if I need to get the coffee machine up and running so I can loll back on the old lounge here and enjoy my cuppa.

Have a good one Peeps! 🎶💕

Re: The Beer Garden

Hi @Kurra , thinks mum's mum would have been around 115 if still around lol, well she and her 7 sisters all made it to low to mid 90s, not bad for being born around 1900, I remember around late primary school age most seemed to not make it to 65, there was an old woman in her 80s mum used to get crotcheting from, well she had one leg from diabetes, now mum is 87, just had toe lopped off from same, eyes going, and in lala land from pain killers apparently ..

anyhoo .. may have an early opener bourbon lol
