The Beer Garden

The Beer Garden

i encourage you all to join me for some casual drinking, social lubrication and light laughter right here in the beer garden.

Oh and before anyone gets up in arms about alcohol and its dangers the main beer on tap is VB or virtual beer

beer is the third most commonly consumed drink in the world behind water and tea

why not share the worlds joy with friends

Re: The Beer Garden

@Sahara I have to prove again & again that I am worthy of health care ...its been 30 years.

Generally I dont think stubbornness is a good trait .. but this has gone on a long time. In the meantime my other needs dont get properly looked at.

Re: The Beer Garden

Hate to admit it, but feeling really crappy again today. @Former-Member
I hate feeling stressed and anxious for no real reason, it's draining.
Thanks for asking though. ❤

Time to fix dinner.

How's your day going? Did you recover from the cold? Is hubby better or worse?

It's actually cool here this afternoon, unusual for spring. Nice though.

Better get the dinner on. Back later. 😊🌷

Re: The Beer Garden

Just thought, its not nice for you having your daughter cranky with you, but lucky she doesn't live with you if she is. @pip

Well, I hope this guy apologizes. And your daughter.
Must make you question your friendship with this guy.

Sounds like you son is on your side. You need support now.

Let me know how it all turns out. I don't get notifications, but I'll check on here every now and again. 💕

Re: The Beer Garden

@Sahara apparently its about ratios of enzymes, re alcohol damage, I had a quick look recently but that wouldnt show up years later. General damage would. attributing a cause years later would depend on asking livers owner questions guess lol. the Government uses liver tests to decide whether or not to a repeat drink driver should have a drivers license or not. no/less drinking reduces the level of enzymes that the liver produces to process alcohol. there is also a questionnaire as is depends on the person saying whether they drink less or not. However, the assumption in that case would be that test subject is telling porkies if the reading is still high. only had a quick look as said, so take this with a pinch of caution. it is possible for example if the reading is normal, for the 'subject' to say what they actually do and therefore be treated as though they had a high reading. So they are prepared to take your word if you you say what they expect to hear, without medical indications. But won't take subjects word if results say otherwise. Have heard of this..

Re: The Beer Garden

There are enzymes in liver function tests ... and antibodies .. not sure if we are having same conversation or you @TAB are you leaving me out ... I feel upset when its my health issue up for discussion.. so partially deleting posts as dont feel you are genuine.

BTW @TAB Believe it or not, I would never try and scare a person on a motorbike. It would never occur to me but it did occur to others to do it to me .. hmm .. nothing wlse to do but ride it along. Re speed: I did run and push a pram a bit fast when I was about 5 years old before the orphanages .. mum yelled at me .. now I am told thats what little kids do ... they run around ... mostly I just fitted in.

I say people are lucky if they lived in a period or a neighbourhood where they didnt have drugs thrust into their homes and families.

Re: The Beer Garden

well sorry @Appleblossom I thought it had become a general discussion re tests, I remember struggling to understand the concept of readings for hep immunisations re antibodies. I had had a full course of hep imunnisation, yet it didn't show years later re 'rare as hens teeth' ..good German genes maybe haha ..I think I have reached or passed my limit on any knowledge on tests

Re: The Beer Garden

Thanks for response. No worries @TAB I wish all GPs were as honest about the limits of their knowledge.

I try to be optimistic and say that the experience in hospital with hep at 20 saved my life .. teaching me about my body ... instead of the ignorant ... fearful catholicism I was raised with ... at least the doctors and students talked to me properly instead of treating me like dirt ...or cutting me oujt .. so all in all I see it as a positive ... one of those mistakes that had a partly good outcome ... was I bad to take them in the first place .. I dont believe so .. I went along with the I am not doing any harm to anyone else.

Now I realise access to proper medical care has been big issue all my life .. still not giving up on it .. as a basic right.
