The Beer Garden

The Beer Garden

i encourage you all to join me for some casual drinking, social lubrication and light laughter right here in the beer garden.

Oh and before anyone gets up in arms about alcohol and its dangers the main beer on tap is VB or virtual beer

beer is the third most commonly consumed drink in the world behind water and tea

why not share the worlds joy with friends

Re: The Beer Garden

I was upset by a school friend who I reconnected with periodically, and each time it was all great and enthusiastic. She never had kids and told me off for being a martyr. While she gave me a massage. I was so shocked, now I think she offered the massage in compensation for her lack, but as I was so open as you are during a massage it knocked me for 6. Nowadays I look into their background and situation and figure she had a smaller life ... and was actually jealous, but projecting & deflecting her negativity onto me.

I think @Apple blossom, when ones nature is unassuming, some like to leach off our gentler ways.
I've experienced similar, and it made me angry.
I think in one blessing it teaches us where we now stand with this person.
Then it's easier to deal your hand.
I guess we never stop learning. ❤😊

Yea @Former-Member

It is now getting to the stage where I have a secure enough home base that I know that when others are mean, it is about them more than me. It was just that for nearly 50 years I didnt have such a sanctuary.

I am so glad this forum is growing and thriving. Going into garden. Got my dirty work clothes on.

Cheers

What happened last night? I woke to over 100 sane messages in my inbox! Did I miss my own party?

Oh well, sitting in the library studying atm with coffee, which is a bit of a party if you'er into that kind of a thing. 😊

Re: The Beer Garden

Hi anyone who can guide me on a difficult, unusual situation. I am an alcoholic. I have been 'dry' for a few weeks. Yesterday I finished a week and a bit of jury service. I came home and relaxed for a while before ringing my daughter. She openly accused me of drinking, I lost it and we had a major blue. She has since contacted my supposed supportive bf and told him I was drunk. He believes her without question. He has told her once a drunk, always a drunk. The problem is I'm not supposed to know about these emails. I found them accidently. I met my bf on another forum, He also believes wrongly I was drunk and had a row with the management of the other forum. How do I get an apology for this gross colossal wrong I've been done. When I was selected for jury service my bf made the comment that perhaps I should try to get an exemption. The way he worded his email to me, it came over that he doubted my ability as a female. He has since denied this and put it down to me being drunk and not capable of understanding his email. I'm really angry, betrayed and bloody hurt. Perhaps I should just write him off, forget he even exists. I would just like an apology from both of them.

Having an Earl Grey cuppa. Thanks for your replies @Faith-and-Hope @Former-Member @Appleblossom

It was awkward bumping into the ex friend yesterday, I couldn't avoid her. I really can't tolerate fakeness anymore. I'd rather be on my own, than put up with fake people.

How is everyone's day going?

I might have to go off here soon, lots to catch up on, chores etc.

I had a nap, still don't feel the best. Oh the joys of PTSD.
