Thanks @Former-Member .... glad you're getting some back-up with your S4 ..... my older ones give me a bit of that with the younger two sometimes .... and when he's having a "with the reall world" moment WH actually does too ... it makes such a difference .... 💜
Those moments reinforce for us all that WH is stil in there somewhere ....
@Former-Member - D3 needed to submit her final assignments and sit an assessment for a TAFE Cert necessary to pass Yr 12 on Saturday. She has been suffering severe menstrual cramps twice a month for the last year .... skipped the extra one this month, then landed a "double-whammy" on Friday / Saturday .... might have wiped out the TAFE Cert as it was already deferred ....
It is what it is ..... can only manage so much for so long, so if this means she doesn't pass this year, so be it ..... she could have done more to help herself leading up to this point .... but with what we've got going on .... ?? .... don't know how I would have been in her shoes .... so just have to keep going with the sucky flow ...
Plot twist !!!
I won't know until the school and TAFE people advise me anyway so there's no point worrying about it in this moment .... something might get worked out yet.
Lunch time here .... gonna run a raid on the fridge .... and I'm eying off those chocolate cupcakes .... !! Sounds really good to me ....
Glad to have your company guys ..... ex-cell-ent distraction .....
🌷💗💕

Re: The Beer Garden
@Former-Member it's uni break this week, but I've had so much work to do, it's been no different to a normal week. I'm so behind on uni work, it's a bit scary! I start my new job tomorrow. So nervous. It's got lots of tasks in it that I've never done before, so that's making me very nervous. I'm just writing out my major job tasks so I can get them sorted tomorrow and hit the ground running.

Re: The Beer Garden
Does she want to go onto tertiary education later (uni or tafe?) cause she can always repeat year 12 next year at tafe, or something like that. Or even take a gap year and then think about what she wants to do. You can only do so much, she needs to take responsibility for herself. And nothing is ever final when you're this young anyway, always lots of options. Who's WH? And you'd better get in quick, those cupcakes are almost gone... Yum!

@Former-Member
All those are pissibilities ..... something will work out .....
WH is the monika I have given my Wayward Hubby who has wandered off into a mental illness laying crappola all over our lives for the last 5-ish years ..... deep in denial so We have no diagnosis or treatment .... yet ....
That's why D3's situation is far from simple .... we have been limping badly that whole time and she has suffered multiple injuries and health crises along the way ....
If she has missed the boat with this then she has also just missed the grad dinner in two weeks time .... end of year parties with her friends .... and school reunions etc in the future .... she won't be able to face any of it ....
But .... not crossing that bridge in this moment .... and once WH is diagnosed everything will be clear in hindsight ....
Collateral damage I'm afraid ....

Re: The Beer Garden
Gosh... that's hard. Poor kid.
As an aside.... I didn't grad with my year group and I got invited to most of the parties and reunions. But it really depends on the group of kids in the year group and what they choose do to. Missing out on the grad dinner would suck. I feel for her.

Hi @Former-Member it may sound dumb, 'when in doubt ask' covers most new job stuff.. was sposed to be doing couple days next week after couple days last week, after long break .. just got a text saying not required anymore ..not too fussed will have to put more apps in, looking like an unreliable source of work
