ANNOYING

ANNOYING

hey there fellow mental illness sufferers

just a little thing for us people who deal with anxiety disorders but how annoying is anxiety

not only does it make you feel like you are having a mental breakdown/ dying but if you are like me and have OCD/anxiety if you google different illnesses and get scared of one your anxiety will mimic the symptoms to make you feel like you are turning into something you’re not.

1 way i can tell my anxiety is trying to make me think i am losing it is that when im not anxious I don’t think like that anxiety disorders are fear based but how annoying is it especially when your anxiety contradicts itself

Re: ANNOYING

Hi @AnxiousMe

I have had a lot of anxiety throughout my life.

I agree it is better to speak up, to push through the fear and name it, but a lot depends on the context in which one is speaking.

I have learned to regret the moment that I did speak up as it made life a lot harder to manage with stigma and lack of understanding.

Here is a safe place, but there are many times and places where people may take advantage.

Cheers

@Appleblossom Don’t get me wrong the context to my anxiety at the start was hard to talk about so I suffered in silence for abit until I had just had enough. Felt good to talk and learn about my illness its just amazing how many different symptoms there are to anxiety that people wouldn’t even realise

Re: ANNOYING

I agree. Its complicated.

@AnxiousMe

I have both a lot of confidence and anxiety, but the anxiety is obvious in my body language to people who look. Mostly in my fingers, hands and posture.

Take Care ... but not too much that you worry ... ahhhh ... sigh ... finding the balance is ongoing ...

Cheers

Re: ANNOYING

Yes I have serious anxiety that I used to think was shyness and generalised social fears, but it goes pretty deep with me.

Probably began when I was 6 and abandoned with 2 younger to care for. I am not very OCD but in some specific ways I can be a bit ...

Thanks not good 😞

my anxiety attacks and thoughts are irrational but can’t seem to let them go my first full attack i got the fear in my head that i had changed sexuality like a switch was horrible but eventually that obsessions kinda drifted away now and i was fine for a few years now its onto more scared of my mental health my psyc said it’s because i worry about not being there for my son in a mental compasity sorry for the long message lol but anxiety can make you feel like your whole world has changed when in reality its the same just with irrational fear haha
