Thanks @Shaz51 🙂 ![]()
I posted the owl I'm working on in the craft thread if you want to have a gander. I didn't tag you as I figure you probably have enough of those 🙂
Glad you are doing OK.
I'm the same, OK as well... looking forward to a long weekend. Nearly finished work for the day. Spring is really in the air this week. Nice the clocks change so we have even more daylight to enjoy the afternoons 🙂 I walk passed some pink bottlebrushes near work fairly frequently, makes me think of the ones you posted a while back. I like watching the bee's on them 🙂
How is Mr Shaz? I hope you haven't worked him to a frazzle! 😉

hey @Gazza75
Thanks for checking in on me. No reply. My car is second hand. Lighter steering & a lot more healthy engine so I am safer in it, especially driving long distances to my job out west. I plan to take an adventure drive out east into the Alpine hiking scene when I have time. I have loads of shifts for now so not sure when I'll have time yet.
Your painting is great Gazza, it's good to have a hobby & you seem very passionate about it. And it's always satisfying to accomplish goals by completing projects.
I'm concerned for your welfare in that you haven't expressed ambitions for a social life. Isolation isn't good for us. It's nice you have such a close relationship with your mum but we need to hang out with people our own age for our social & emotional well being. Is there something bad in your past there or something holding you back?
I've been struggling with psychotic symptoms & the accompanying anguish & dispair. It seems endless. I'm sick of my psychiatrist & meds do very little. I've been putting off my GP appt to see how my meds are effecting my blood sugar, weight & cholesterol - she always puts me down & tells me to lower my expectations about my quality of life. I find that very rude & immoral & can't stomach another dose of it, I'm ready to tell her to go fuck herself, so staying away. If these meds are causing metabolic damage I may go back to my old meds as, altough they caused rapid weight gain, at least they gave me better symptom relief, a moment of peace.
Have a good Friday.

Morning @BryanaCamp ,
I'm sorry the guy hasn't emailed you back and let you know one way or the other. The not knowing must be a little torturous. It's possible that maybe it went to his 'junk' folder, it happens with a fair bit of email I get at work.
Your new car sounds really nice and I'm pleased it's safer. The apline hiking sounds like a wonderful idea, especially this time of year. Im glad you have lots of shifts and I'm sure you will figure out how to get away at some point.
I find it hard to have a social life. I'm hoping to catch up with a friend this week, but, its a bit up in the air as he's probably going to his brothers place. I will see in a minute, he's sent me a message on facebook that I haven't checked yet. I am definitely in a rut, but, I am fairly used to it if I'm honest about it.
I'm really sorry you have been struggilng with your symptoms and dealing with a psychiatrist that isn't helping. It seems like finding good doctors and help is like searching for the ever elusive needle in a haystack. Nearly everyone on here has poor care or wants better than what they currently have. It's a sad state of affairs. I'm in a similar position, but, I need to make more of an effort to find a better GP at least. In saying that, I really don't think there's much they can do. I have been off my meds for a few months now and haven't improved physically as much as I had hoped. That's been a pretty tough pill to swallow.
I would get the test done, despite it being unpleasant at least it's out of the way and you will know if there's anything alarming. I would keep in mind the message you have for her and deliver it if she pushes you to much. I'm sure you can find another more helpful doctor. I found my doctor very unsympathetic to my plight. I kept thinking, I was related to you would you treat me the same way? I actually went to school with his daughter and am fairly sure he wouldn't have treated her with the discontent. He didn't give a crap about my weight issues.
I would consider the change of meds, I think it's important that you have a clear head and some peace in life. The side effect aren't great, but, overall I think the positives they could make is worth it.
Hope you have a really super Friday and a good weekend. Thanks for checking in. It's really nice to hear from you 🙂

Hi @BryanaCamp
I am sorry to hear your GP is so discouraging - I guess she can tell you to lower your expectations on your quality of life but to me that a heartless comment - certainly now something I would consider encouraging at all.
We can have expectations of anything we like and to what level we choose - why not? I went through years of people telling me that going to university was too much for me but I went - 12 years for a 4 years degree part time while I worked - and those comments may have served if being angry helped.
We do not want to go anywhere where people put us down - can you see another GP? Is there anyone else at your clinic with more understanding? I hope you can find someone else who is more user-friendly. You certainly deserve it
