Something’s not right

when does it stop or get easier

when does it stop or get easier

i sit here in so much pain both mentally ( anxiety /depression /stress) and physical, ( arthritis /spinal issues and god knows what else .

Im tired , im tired, im tired, ive fought and battled for so long im battled out. on the 19th December I handed in an assests form to Centrelink , today I get another one in the mail ive got paper work all over the floor im so tired of it. they ask for what you think you would get if you sold your stuff. sheesh I sold mums disability scooter today for 700.00 initially i asked 1500. i have a small coin collection god knows what that is worth if much. daughter cant use the scooter she has cos its not got a sun roof and she is blind in one eye. i want to cry but i cant

Hi @tisme I hear your pain. I understand how hard life can be. Sounds like you’re having a huge challenge with Centrelink.

Filling out the forms can be very difficult and draining.

Sorry that you’re in emotional and physical pain. Makes everything so much harder.

I hope it helps you to chat to different people on the forums.

It can lessen the burden, chatting to others that understand.

Sleep time for me now. I’m not thinking straight now, too tired.

Might chat again soon, if you like.

Hello @tisme

It sounds as if there are more things than Centrelink, which is often a pain.

It is hard when your daughter's particular needs are complicated and you cant make use of the scooter you had. I can relate to not wanting to waste.

I hope you get it all done soon.

Take care of YOU too.

Feeling exhausted all the time is so hard. Are you able to nap during the day? I sometimes have a little nap to get through.

Hi there Sounds very tough for you now & probably has been for some time. I know what you mean about daytime naps - they’re no good for me either as it affects nighttime sleeping (sometimes only a few minutes napping can result in me being awake all night). I suppose one other possibility is to walk, swing your arms or do any exercise to get some endorphins/energy. To me, you sound like a real fighter - good on you.

can you believe it , when I went in they didn't have any records of the forms I brought in a week ago tg I keep copies , so I gave them a copy of my copy..

That’s unbelievable! Good on you for keeping copies. Did you post in the past that it was an application form for receiving more Centrelink support - all the best with that 🙏

Hi @tisme

Welcome to the Forum Family - I can see you have already had responses to your original post

I actually started a post to you a couple of nights back and my computer totally died on me - that was just that the power cord had become disconnected from the power point - but I am here today

Dealing with Centrelink can be such a battle - when it comes to the value of what's called "Irredeemable" Assets - unless you have something really new there is not much you can get for them - maybe with time and a lot of messing about it could be more but in reality - I feel anyway - no one would want my out-of-date, second hand but comfortable furniture so if that's how your place looks - think of a number that is realistic - stick to it

Basically - we are pretty much always on the wrong side of the money - we will pay more for a second hand item than we can sell it for - once we buy something it immediately depreciates

Good on you for keeping copies - then you can forward a copy of a copy as you have

And all your best making your way through this - tough yards

And all the best with your daughter too - it can be so hard with a child with disorders that no one really can understand until they live with them - something not even Dr Phil can work out -I know
