Christmas Loungeroom

For all those who are both celebrating and avoiding Christmas this year the Chistmas Loungeroom is a place for us all to hang out. It is especially for those who will be alone throughout this Christmas period and as a place to come together and enjoy the company of others in what can be a difficult time for many.

Feel free to post your stories, images, grievances, etc. of this period and to leave messages for other members to help each other get through this time of year.

Christmas day can be extra hard for some so this is a place for us all to get together on the day and share it with other members.

Yep. Have started cooking veg here have nothing else. Staring at tv. No energy to go to shops for comfort food @Zoe7 tomorrow’s another day. Think am over holidays before it’s even really started

Physically plus mentally overwhelmed here @Zoe7 I cant wait for today to be over or was that for tomorrow lol. Not much I can do except try not to think about stuff and just zone out. Will have to work on stuff . Tomorrow. Just got to avoid nagging thoughts. I think I had a Plan ok a good ish one. Definitely wasn’t sticking to it and its bitten me. How could that be lol

It seems like we both need this day to be over @TAB - just putting it down to yet another one of those days where nothing is right but there is nothing we can do about it but get through. It sucks but it is what it is hey!

Pretty much @Zoe7 I had half a laugh at tv show a few minutes ago over the recurring thoughts that I don’t really like the picture on my new 2nd hand tv and that haven’t paid rent in few weeks or power bill and been spending too much . Anyway All tomorrows problems. Just wish Id stop thinking about it no point cos can’t bear to deal with it today. 😀

Put it all aside today and think about it tomorrow - trying to do the same here but also think I need to go through these feelings today so tomorrow they are out and I can enjoy the time with my Dad @TAB

makes sense re processing before outing @Zoe7 also makes sense for me to leave self alone lol um trying distractions, Im in impossible to please mode today seems erk. Holding pattern is the goal today, so long as nothing bad happens it will count as a Win lol

It certainly will be a win @TAB - we are both in said holding pattern today and I for one am looking forward to this day being over. Need to get some sleep tonight to meet my Dad early-ish in the morning - 9am so not too early but early enough for a Saturday lol

yep, just ticked over to 2pm here @Zoe7 am thinking early trip to proper supermarket oh and will have to do xmas lunch shop I guess, then bills pay, anything else will be a bonus lol, heatwave starting here in couple days so prob should get another fan to help aircon and get that pool from kmart been telling self to buy for last 2 years lol .. And . get back to getting up at sunrise routine was in til couple days ago to beat the heat for badly needed walks anyway, feeling a tad better, may even allow self to get food delivery later, well eating would help and no inclination to leave house for any reason today
