Sharing my life with Ms Sophie (Bipolar II)

Sharing my life with Ms Sophie (Bipolar II)

Hi @Former-Member@Determined@Shaz51@outlander@Faith-and-Hope

after reading all of Darcy’s thread of her journey with Mr D I thought I would start a similar thread for my journey with my MsS who also has Bipolar II

it was such a lovely supportive thread and not wanting to be presumptive however I could really do with some companionship on this journey from those who have a deeper understanding and compassion of our unique challenges ... I really saw so much care and support in Darcys thread from you all and would really like to join the discussion for supporting Darcy and also ask when you have time to look in on me - I really don’t have anyone in many circle at work or family or socially who really understands and I super appreciate your time and input

As per Darcy’s thread I plan to share my thoughts and musings about my partnership with Ms S bit by bit as it comes up ... also to setup a place I can come to should the proverbial hit the fan.... which it always does lol

thats all thx for listening ... also please let me know if you have similar regular threads I can follow and provide support for yourselves x Sophie

How has this week been @Sophie1 ?

Re: Sharing my life with Ms Sophie (Bipolar II)

Hi @Former-Member

this week has been huge - has job interviews final stages for the job I was applying for in feb !!! They suddenly had funding again ... I'll find out this week 🤞🤞🤞

I am also working with a career coach for 4 weeks to work out what I want from my career and what to do next and how to do it - I really feel like I'm getting my confidence back and a sense of direction and self esteem that I had lost in my current workplace

anyway MsS is going well with her psychologist and trauma therapist - altho migraines still every few days -- so tomorrow I convinced MsS today she needed to book in to the migraine neurologist specialist - she agreed and I think she may actually do it this time lol sigh grrrr

but today as MsS had such a bad migraine I went for a walk on my own - I actually really enjoyed the space alone - was healing for me somehow... ??

how are you at spending time alone Darcy ? What is it like for you ?

Re: Sharing my life with Ms Sophie (Bipolar II)

Fingers crossed re: job @Sophie1 having a satisfying career can help in the other area if our lives

Migraines = 😵😵😵 Hoping that relief will be found.

I don't mind spending some time alone and am comfortable doing so - walking the dogs, shopping, going to a cafe or gardening. Some things I feel are best done with others (not necessarily Mr D - ie enjoying a hobby with others who have a similar interest). I have also been supportive of Mr Darcy to do things without me. Doing things as a couple is important too and believe that there is a limit as to what would be an acceptable level of separate vs together time.
