Treechange Suggestions

Summer is a difficult time for me, lots of loss anniversaries. I have to leave where I am soon and I could plan to live on the road through summer or find a quaint little village surrounded by nature to take stoke of my life. Figure it’s a good distraction from blackdog thoughts.

I have

- gorgeous lapdog 🙂

- a good car

- can’t walk far

Love some suggestions

Yep @Former-Member You deserve respect and given brothers situation, dont feel guilty refusing. He also might care in his own way.

I think some trips away are a great idea for you.

I am reading a memoir by Susi Newborn who worked for FoE and Greenpeace and on the Rainbow Warrior.

I was a bit young and got the end of the hippy period.

Thanks @Appleblossom, feeling trapped or something, housebound, unmotivated... Weather heating up not helping.
Are you good?

Re: Treechange Suggestions

The usual allsorts. @Former-Member

In la la land thinking about mothers funeral, missed a 1pm appointment, but spoke with counsellor on phone and it was understood and made necessary communication to help re son.

The he finally agreed to let me buy him his birthday present from 6 weeks ago.

As he was trying on different new shoes and being gorgeous with sales assistant, I was fuming inside that his leg was uncontrollably shaking. I hate that my beautiful son has been poisoned. I would have more meds and have him have less, but its outside of my hands.

Life should not be this difficult.

Then we picked up his work clothes.

So we ticked 2 things.

Last night people were nice to me at choir. I almost did not believe it, one lady had been a bit icky, but was being definitely nice and shairing and open last night. The others had been always nice, but did not know much about me. I am so not used to people being decent to me. I had been absent for 2 rehearsals as I had other gigs.

So this is my life and I have to keep taking the next step and be thankful for the good.

Thank you very much for asking Bella.

And thank you @Appleblossom for answering so ‘real’ Dont Know what i’d do if my son had to take meds with debilitating side affects. It’s a living loss :(. And he’s so young. You’re amazing hanging in there for him. How much worse would he be without you (despite what blackdog tells us). Focusing on his beautiful traits of our kidults helps.

Somewhat insignificant in comparison, and different. my son only rings occasionally and did on the weekend and bragged how he visited his dad for his birthday, and he did on Father’s Day. My son has NEVER come home for my birthday or mother’s day since leaving home 10yrs who. He’s dad refused to sign his birth certificate for 3yrs, interferes with his sister and ruined my life. But I have to ice over and say nothing. I don’t understand anybody anymore.

But it you build on your music gift - so proud of you for don’t to make the world beautiful in this way. And so glad others treating you better. About time, hope it lasts.

Stay strong 🌸💕

Re: Treechange Suggestions

I have always understood that our relationships with our sons is different. I remember when you were posting about going to your son's graduation. You can be proud of him for that.

@Former-Member

We are both mothers of both a son and daughter, but with tricky families of origin and a lot of loss.

I agree, society has become very strange and relationship breakdowns and taking people for granted is everywhere and deemed normal.

Progress seems very peculiar to me.

Take Care

I am trying to talk my son into going on a little driving holiday, but he keeps saying "no". I understand he does not ant to hang out with his mum, but its better than doing nothing. Tghen he can get his licenece and at least talk about places he has been to.

His rejection has been going on for so long, like his father, I am losing touch with that adventure bush connection side of me. Mainly walking on eggshells most days.

Re: Treechange Suggestions

Went on an 8hr Rd trip today, a loopup the mountains via Bilpin > Mt Victoria and back down the Great Western Hwy.

Was good to get out - did a lot of walking to (for a change). Love the green hills and tall trees and Bell birds. This was the first time I put fuel in my new car - had to remember it was diesel, nearly forgot yikes!

This is the local cinema at Mr Victoria And the flowering plants lining the footpaths are beautiful. Couldn’t believe this is growing along the sidewalk
