I don't understand people.

I don't understand people.

First and foremost I want to reiterate I am NOT entertaining suicidal thoughts. This is not a cry for help or attention seeking behaviour, its just an observation I've made over time.

I don't understand people. People routinely emotionally abuse one another and be neglectful of other's feelings. I often see pictures on Facebook of script stating "don't say you love me when I am gone, tell me while I am still here". My own family never tell me I am loved. Facebook friends never like my posts or comments, often I am ignored by so-called "friends". My wife I know loves me but we hardly ever get a chance to show it due to the Mother In-Law. I have no real friends whom I visit or visit me (I am socially isolated yes). Tears form at the corners of my eyes when I think I am not alone.

As Kamahl once said "why are people so unkind?"

@Queenie Awww ... well I like you Queenie :D! and to answer your question I believe there are alot of good people out there and in even the most awful of people there is some good so don't despair xxx Just keep looking at the positives and they generally out number the negatives.

Re: I don't understand people.

I agree with you @Queenie\but I think that you are actually seeing a truth about people in general. Its not one we like, but eventually I am finding that truth one I can handle.

WIth facebook, I have only been on it in last 2 years. I have been on sf much longer, and found the sense of community here sustains me in all the facebook snubs.

I am letting those feelings help me make decisions about how much to invest in different areas.

Also like @Bunniekins said I find a lot of positive people and events are in the world.

I am working at not letting myself be overcome by abandonment feelings. Which were so bloomin huge I did not even know what they were. Sometimes I call out a sense of injustice, but it is rarely well received. I dont regret it cos I have called out so little, it must have been necessary in my scheme of things. Then I look at something else and feel a little better about the world. My emotions are gently shifting and not so hugely labile and unstable ... tho ... that is with the help of a bit of medication.

Because I know how much work you put in for MH issues I have a strong sense of sympathy/empathy for you and your posts. @Queenie Sharing and community is not always about attention seeking. If someone does not open up first .. its hard ... to get the ball rolling ...
