Facing the music...so to speak

Facing the music...so to speak

I'm 38 and I have ADHD, Aspergers and Depression... I'm also having to (and struggling to) come to terms with the fact I also have some form of PTSD...

I've been dodging it for years because it would mean having to tell someone about certain issues and reliving them...I don't want to do this and I don't think I can cope with doing this...

Just keep me in your prayers and thoughts...

Re: Facing the music...so to speak

@Catlady79- I hear you and you are in my prayers. I don't know your spiritual beliefs but my faith in Jesus has carried me through this struggle thus far. I am a combat veteran and policeman who has experienced a lot of trauma, but the struggle with depression, anxiety, and panic has been the hardest thing I have ever faced. Romans 10:13 in the bibles says, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." If you truly need God's help, call on him and he will help you. In my experience, sometimes he lets us get into a deep hole so we have to look up and see Him. Hope this helps. God bless.

Re: Facing the music...so to speak

I already believe in Jesus and I know He is with me all the time, His Word brings a lot of comfort... Sometimes I just wish He could erase some of these memories of mine. Perhaps in time they'll go away...

I'm tired of intrusive thoughts, being hyper vigilant every time there's violence or aggression around me and horrible flashbacks that like to haunt me now and then...
