Hi @Judy

Welcome to the forums - I'm glad you found us. Fortuately and unfortunately there are many here who are experiencing similar things to you.

One thing I have noticed through other members' stories is that it's never too late to get help, regardless of what you have tried.

You mentioned you have tried many medications, and it's unfortunate you haven't found that useful, however medication isn't the only option 🙂 Have you found a psychologist or cousellor you have connected well with before?

Also, just chatting to peers (like us!) can be helpful too!

Hello @Judy

Welcome to the forum. I had been resistant to using the internet, but now I am on it every day. It is good to be able to talk to others online. Coming out of a circumstance of isolation is very difficult. I make many faux pas butI just keep trying. Look forward to seeing your posts.

Re: new to forum

hi judy

ask your husband to take you to the doctor for a referral to a psychiatrist. They have special knowledge about the type of medication that is best for you. You may need someone also to take you to see the psychiatrist but in time the anxiety and depression will managed by the medication. Take one step at a time to get out of the safety of your house. Being housebound is just because that's here you feel safe and comfortable. Try going for a walk along your street, then around the block, then to shops and take your time with each success. I know it's hard but you need to push yourself a little to get out of the house.

Cheers
