I'm a little anxious tonight and crazyily getting stuff organised for the week, getting kids settled (one is asleep, one to go!), plus need to plan my work week and get organised there! but as i was at a conference last two days of last week I'm not entirely sure where everything is up to! doh!

Not doing Ok - my partner and his eldeslt teenage 16 tear old is off the rails. The daughter ran out the door and said I am going for a walk, I can't stand you and Dad arguing which is about her and thats why sme moved in with us - I have tired to set boundaries - no luck. They are both gone now, my partner looking for her and she is proably smoking pot. I am going to try and sleep with prescribed medication, which I have not wanted to do for a long time. Very sad - sorry of I have upset anyone. My anxiety is soooo bad

It sounds like you have a significant reason to be anxious. Don't be too hard on yourself; your partner's daughter is probably dealing with some stuff that feels really big to her. Try not to argue with your partner about her (especially when she is in earshot). Be kind to yourself. And place a few drops of lavender or chamomile essential oil on your pillow to help with peaceful slumber. Sweet dreams 😴

sounds like a terrible day 😞 Hope your partner finds the daugter and things settle down a bit for you all. Hopefully you are able to get some sleep, which always helps alot.

Teenage daughters seem to be a tricky parenting or step parenting deal. They can seriously impact all members of the household. Have you looked at books about step parenting or discussed things with anyone from the step family association. I received a little support from them when I was a step mum.

Sounds like you are de-escalating situation and I hop your partner returns with or without daughter and some peace returns.

I dont really know the right way to be on a forum like this either ... like you I just try this and that and hope for the best.
