Feeling alone

Feeling alone

Hello everyone, I'm new here

Just wanted to connect. Feeling lost and alone and like i have no-one. I know that thsi isn't true but it still feels that why. I think this feeling is from the past when I was little and treated badl. I feel those feelings of that small perosn and it is horrible. I feel like I am nothing and it is hard not to get sucked into the nothingness. Does anyone relate to this. Think I may go out for a walk but wanted to reach out into the owrld and feel connected. Re: Feeling alone

Hi @Lydias welcome to the Forum. Did you end up going out for a walk?

Lost and alone is a hard thing to experience. It sounds like you are carrying some heavy stuff with you from when you were little. Just wanted to say I hear you and I'm sorry for what you're going through. There are many compassionate, non-judgemental people here and it has helped me to feel connected to a bigger picture. I hope you can sleep well. I'm heading that way, but I'll look out for you tomorrow. Take care.

Re: Feeling alone

Hi @Lydias. Just wanted to post to say that I can relate to the alone feelings. I hope you had a nice walk, and I hope that connecting with people on the forum will help you to feel less alone.

Re: Feeling alone

Thank-you so much. It does help to reach out to connect. I realised after I had posted that I had joined that I had reached out to Australia sane. Thank-you from the other side of the world. I am from Leeds, West Yorkshire, UK. Hope that is ok. I did repost on the UK site afterwards but the sense of connection I got here helped and i felt understand in a different way which I preferred. I would like to stay but don't know if allowed.

I did go for a short walk. It is sunny here , and has been for a number of days/weeks which is very unusual. Felt good to be out.

Thank-you for relating too to these feelings.

Thank-you for your welcome, support and compassion. It helps. Yes I do feel I am carrying some heavy stuff. Trying my best. Difficult connecting to painful feelings. Agree connectign up to the bigger picture is good and helpful. I did go for a walk thank-you. A short walk up a hill with a lovely view which helped. Thanks again, this forum does feel lovely and wecloming and safe. I would like to stay. I hope you slept well. Thanks again for your good wishes

Re: Feeling alone

Hi @Lydias hope all's well. Have you worked out about notifications? I only ask because this is the first forum I went on and had no idea how it worked! Just in case, if you use @ you can tag someone. And up in the top right of the screen there is a bell to let you know if you've been tagged, or someone's liked your post, or someone's replied to a thread you've been on. Is there anything in particular you're interested in? There are all sorts of social threads, as well as some heavy ones where you can just have someone listen and sit beside you. We have a garden and craft and a thread for sports fans. There's also the Friday Feast, which is a bit of escapist fun. The Lived Experience home page has categories of interest and a search bar.

Hi @Lydias and welcome
I can relate well to those feelings. They can be very tricky to manage but your not worthless at all. That black hole sucking us in can be hard to get out of for sure. Do you have supports at all?

Re: Feeling alone

Hi @Lydias. Nice to 'meet' you (and thanks for the tag @outlander). Sorry to hear you've been struggling with those feelings. They're feelings that are shared and understood by many and they can be really hard to manage sometimes. It's great to hear that you went out for a walk and that you found it helped you.

I noticed in your post above that you are from the UK and were wondering about being on the forum here. It may be worth checking with the forums team using team@saneforums.org about it.

Hope today is Ok or better for you.

Re: Feeling alone

Hi @outlander

thank-you for your kindness. I have a supportive husband who know everything I am dealing with. I have friends but they really don’t know what I’m dealing with and don’t feel I can explain.

i often feel llike i’m Down the rabbit hole or worm hole or yes black hole!

Its good to know feelmgs don’t stay the same . They do change even the really really bad ones.

thanks Lydia

@CheerBear

Hi, Thank-you so much for your kindness. Not the easiest of days today, particularly all over the place but settled down later. Yes feelings hard to manage sometimes.

The walk all was good though.

I will best check with the forums team , feeling a little like an intruder !!

You have all all been so welcoming , don’t want to leave now.

I might just have to move country!

thanks again all.
