How to be responsible for your actions

How to be responsible for your actions

Hi everyone

how do you become responsible for your actions and behaviour?

At the moment im ignoring bills to be paid, don't know why. It could be because we are not financially stable and I'm scared to call the companies. So I ignore them.

I don't go to the letterbox to get letters or bills.

I get really anxious. I don't know what to do.

J feel ashamed embarrassed and guilty for not paying the bills snd not even doing anything about them.

What should I do? I'm not a responsible person. I don't behave in a responsible way.

Its like an addiction I'm too scared to face my problem.

Hi BB well you have done the first step which is by acknowledging that you have a problem. Next is to think about the bills themsleves. Are they bills for buying extravegent things which are not need or are they just plain necesseties which the family needs to get by. Once you have sorted out the bills then you can tackle them one by one and the reasons why a. you have them and b. how are you going to pay them.

One of the best things I ever did was get rid of my credit card. I have a debit card and if I dont have the money to buy something I simply cannot buy it. Problem solved.

You really have to sort out the reasons why you are purchasing and how and then work out a plan on how to pay it all off. Once you are in control over your money you will feel much happier (I can guarantee it) 🙂 xxx

No @Bunniekins theyre just house utility bills. I don't buy anything extravagant or anything fir myself. It's all house bills.

I don't know how to fix the problems. I am so overwhelmed.

Credit card will be cut up after our tax return comes in once we do our return and hopefully get a return.

@BlueBay I pay my electricity account once a month and then it is not so big for me to handle. You will have to do a budget and stick to it no matter how boring it is. Boring it will be too sadly.

@BlueBay. I've done this before and it just causes my depression to worsen. So it's far better, for me, if I can tackle the bill when it comes in. Even if I can't pay it that day, I work out when I will have the funds or even a part payment and I put that note into my calendar on my mobile, to remind me to pay it on that date.

However, you have a husband, and if at the moment it is too hard to face this extra stress, tell him to do the bills for the next month or two. No shame in asking for help when something is too stressful at the moment. And you have had a couple of hard emotional weeks. So maybe it's time hubby stepped up and did this task.
