Wondering aimlessly...

Wondering aimlessly...

Hi everyone,

Found out this morning I have BPD. So my full diagnosis now i suppose is Anxiety, Depression, CPTSD & BPD. Finding this out has given me some closure as I understand BPD more then I do CPTSD. Had some problems with my partner tonight, just a small argument that really got me frazzled. At the moment im staying in a community mental health facility and I leave tomorrow to stay at his Grandmothers house. I'm feeling overwhelmed with everything i have to put in place when I get back to reality, quite scared about moving to stay at a new house for a while, nervous and shaky. I found myself aimlessly scrolling through facebooks news feed like everything was a blur. I'll be staying with my partner from tomorrow on and I'm not scared of him, he doesn't harm me, but im worried about his understanding of it all and the fact that his actions can trigger me. I can imagine it would be like walking on glass for him but I feel like where I have been over the past 4 weeks - Hospital wards/Community facility has been a bubble for me to heal mentally and i'm not quite ready to leave. Does anyone have any thoughts or experience on any of this?

hmm that doesnt sound very good @Nic1963
do you think you could give the organisation a ring and find out what is happening there?

@outlander
I did this morning, they don’t have any referrals under my name so he sent an email out to a few other organisations to see if they have me. Over the past week I’ve noticed that the mental health system has some major flaws and that’s truly sad.

I’m a big danger to myself. I would want to be voluntarily admitted to a half way house or inpatient

Hi @Nic1963

Glad you are on here reaching out. As you know, unfortunately, the Forums aren’t a counselling or crisis service, however I feel a bit concerned about you saying that you are a big risk to yourself. If you need immediate support I encourage you to contct one of the services below:

Lifeline: 13 11 14 or Crisis Chat

Suicide call back service: 1300 659 467 or online counselling

Samaritans: 135 247

If in immediate danger: 000

Re: Wondering aimlessly...

@Nic1963 calling crisis counselling is a good starting point usually. Just talking things through with someone can change our internal state sometimes, and if that is not working, the crisis counsellor can redirect you to where you can receive the right sort of attention.

@Nic1963
if your a danger to yourself you can take yourself to the ED. they will assess you while your there and admit you. you dont need refferrals or anything, or call your local community mental health team like CATT
