Do you feel a bit disappointed?---- amm not really , I did not think the younger 2 would get time off work and to drive up here , a long drive , but one will be coming up for christmas , so grandma is over the moon with that news

I care for my husband who has been diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia and is currently in the psych ward since the beginning of November. The psychiatrists are thinking he is more along the lines of schizoaffective (psychosis and bipolar). I love this man to bits, I feel like my heart will burst out of love and care for him. He is my soul mate and my life partner, and I will support him on his difficult journey no matter what. We are together and will be together in this lifetime and other lifetimes to come 🙂

It's great to see other carers in similar situations and mindsets 🙂

How are you going?
Are the doctors offering any ideas around treatments for your husband?
How is he going with it all? Is he accepting the illness at all? Acceptance of it is very hard, it is for my husband.
Do you have any supports around you that you can use? I know I get very stressed at the times when Mr is low, with the added responsibility of running the house/ kids/ work alone.

We are all here to help in any way we can.

I have visitors but saw your message, will respond properly later, but you may want to do z quick edit of your post as community guidelines do not allow specific medications to be mentioned. You can say APs /mood stabilisers etc.
