My life partner has Bipolar ii

My life partner has Bipolar ii

I unapologetically care for my husband who after a long mental health crisis has been diagnosed with Bipolar ii + more.

It is a tough gig at times but I believe we can live well in spite of his diagnosis.

I understand that not all relationships can survive a diagnosis and this is no criticism or judgement on anyone but in this thread I would love to give to and receive encouragement from others who hold the same value I have, that is that I voluntarily chose to remain in union with my husband to the exclusion of others and to ride out the bumps of his mental illness.

Dubious humour is guaranteed.

Mr D's voice a bit hoarse today - caused by his loud howling last night. He is anxious about a few things and needed reassurance this morning.

Re: My life partner has Bipolar ii

@Determined Think Mr D might be having 'mixed hypomania'.

Have an article about this and it describes Mr D's symptoms to a T. Makes sense as since meds were adjusted things have been going down hill ...

That's not a good result @Former-Member

Hoping doc is able to get on top of it for you.

Will pray specifically around this for you both.

I was hoping that things may have settled for you once you were back home.
