My life partner has Bipolar ii

My life partner has Bipolar ii

I unapologetically care for my husband who after a long mental health crisis has been diagnosed with Bipolar ii + more.

It is a tough gig at times but I believe we can live well in spite of his diagnosis.

I understand that not all relationships can survive a diagnosis and this is no criticism or judgement on anyone but in this thread I would love to give to and receive encouragement from others who hold the same value I have, that is that I voluntarily chose to remain in union with my husband to the exclusion of others and to ride out the bumps of his mental illness.

Dubious humour is guaranteed.

Sorry to hear of your loss @Former-Member. Our pets are such an influence to our lives, moods and wellness.

Hope everyone is well.

Mr Jones and I are doing well, trying to keep mr Jones stimulated as his at home alone with our 6 month old now I'm back at work. it's obviously busy with a baby all day but his finding a lack to mental simulation. any advice ?

I've recommend (and his happy to) get into a regular play group with her, swim lessons, volunteer work at our local dogs home.

xx

Finding something meaningful to do has been problematic for Mr Darcy @Mrsjones, he doesn't have any good mates either so feels quite lonely. He has started limited volunteering for a service group.

On a more positive note, we have found a breeder with some whippet pups and Mr Darcy is keen to get one. Even though it has not been long since we lost our Missy Moo, we had always hoped to replace our boy dog (but didn't as our madam did not fret and seemed to prefer being only dog) and had been keeping an eye out for quite some time ... will keep you posted.
