how long can i hold on?
hello,
i’m struggling. i’m trying to cope, but it’s so hard and every little step costs so much energy and then i get exhausted and don’t know how to go on. so tired.

good morning
i had a bad nights sleep and know its not the best start to a new day. i watched a program yesterday about family 'hand-downs' and tradition. i've destroyed almost everything i ever owned and live in a very empty house. i cut all family and most friends out of my life. its my way to protect myself. push everyone away and let no one in and there are less people that can physically or emotionally hurt me. and i can't hurt them.
but it is a very lonely path 😞

Hi @Former-Member. Sorry to hear you had a bad night.
I think many of us struggle with the loneliness that can come from putting our walls up for self protection. I think it's almost cruel sometimes that we are by design, a social species, when so much hurt is caused in social contexts.

hello @CheerBear
it is cruel. and i don't want to hurt people by being a burden. my therapist says i will hurt them too if i go, but i think its better for them to move on than to have a life long sentence. would you rather rot in prison for the rest of your life or have it over and done with?
i feel so ashamed of not being what i could be.

I hear you @Former-Member and in my darkest moments I feel and question the same kinds of things. I want to believe that it's not a prison sentence though and that there is another way out or through it. It's really hard sometimes to see it especially when it's so dark.

Perhaps I should do a pro and con list. That used to help for life and business decisions before.
