The search within never ends

Why am i like this

On who can i depend

Words spoken seem empty to me

I am the only one that i can depend

You see if i let me down

It doesnt hurt so much

I stand alone, i guess by choice

People hurt in the name of trust

No more i say can i trust

Too much pain over a lifetime of trying

Yes its now only me that i am relying.

Lonenly at times i must admit

No other option

And here i sit

Contemplating my life so far

Around in circles not getting very far.

The child within stands alone

Cold tears fall down her cheak

The land is barren

No grass no trees

Just emptyness is all she sees.

Theres a coldness in the air

And within she feelss so very scared

Theres noone to turn to

She is so completely alone

Has her heart turned to stone.

She longs to hear the warmth of a voice

But there noone there

Is this her choice?

Noone knows

noone heres her silent cry

So alone she stands untill she dies
