I understand about your nephew @Lemonjuice - now you have mentioned this I related to it - you won't give up on him no matter what - and yes - he has issues
As did my son - I think he tested my love to see if it was real and I loved him and did all I could for him until the end -
You will do all you can with your nephew too - does he live with you and your mother?
You need to know about Tough Love though - you can look that up on the internet - I went to a group for people with kids into substance abuse and other stuff young people get into that is not at all good for them - it's a case of letting them know that we love them but not some of their behaviour - it's really hard on your own though
I admire you for doing this for him - more than I have words to say -
