Weird experiences......

Weird experiences......

I've been having a bunch of really weird symptoms recently and I'm wondering if anyone else ever experiences them too?

When I've been 'full' brain wise, with a dozen or so thought streams running through my head, that I can't control or listen in to, but I can hear them and they distract me. And then I'm trying to talk and interact with someone in the real world and I apparently say things that I'm completely unaware of having said. It's like these thought streams I can't listen in on, control what I'm saying.

And I've been so scared and paranoid recently. I can't be alone at night. I keep hearing and seeing someone taking photographs of me and trying to break into my house. I'm absolutely terrified and end up calling the cops half a dozen times each night. But once the sun comes up, all that fear and paranoia goes away. And I can logically think that I might be imagining what I'm hearing and seeing, but at night I'm fully, FULLY convinced that I'm being watched and attacked.

I hear voices when I drive. Yelling at me. Sirens. Horns. So loud and so constant. It's been going on for a while now and I know it's not real, but it's soo hard to deal with. I'm constantly checking over my shoulder to see if there is an ambulance behind me.

Does this happen to anyone else?????

Feeling so lost, alone and terrified of my own mind.

Re: Weird experiences......

Hi @Former-Member. I'm not sure I can add anything that hasn't already been said but I too wanted to let you know I'm thinking of you. What you described sounds incredibly scary.

Sometimes when I feel things have changed and become pretty intense, it doesn't help me to try and work out why. I have to wait until I am a little calmer and the symptoms have settled before I can make any sense of things. It's hard when really I just want to understand what's happening, but I think I have a better chance of working it out when I'm not in that heightened state. The goal for me then becomes to return to a more 'stable' (for want of a better word) state of mind, and then piece it together.

I hope you were able to find some comfort or peace last night. Cats and friends can be great for that.

Re: Weird experiences......

@Former-Member hello I went through something kind of similar. there was a time i was convinced that someone well a group of people actually were watching me and wating to attack me and i constantly had all the doors and such locked and i would sit a watch through a window to make sure no one was coming up towards my house for hours on end and was constantly panicked i didnt eat i didnt sleep all i did was sit in scilence and wait ready for an impending attack. eventually i got so tired and upset that one thing led to another and i ended up at the hospital..... i cant say the feeling has totally ever gone away but it is a lot less intense for now. sorry i am not much help but i can understand some of your feelings and you are not alone. oh i also hear stuff and during that time i would hear random noises all the time.

Re: Weird experiences......

Hoping you're going ok after your appointment also @Former-Member. It can be scary to talk when things have been extra difficult but I hope it helped you.

Re: Weird experiences......

We didn't get much of a chance to talk as I was running late.
She didn't really tell me what was going on, but she changed my meds and said we could talk more next time I see her and if my symptoms didn't get better really quickly to call her later in the week.
But she was really sympathetic and understanding which was nice. Here's hoping to getting some sleep tonight.
