This week has been a bit full on – have had plumbing issues all week, and well, I have no toilet! Had to get a plumber out and my uncle is in the process of installing a new one. Unfortunately it hasn’t been a straight forward process. although it has made my week interesting lol. Ive had some down days which have been hard. I try to keep myself busy as that is when my mind doesn’t have a chance to wander. Im finding I don’t really like staying home that much either, everything reminds me of mum. So when im out, I tend to avoid coming home. The evenings are hard, being on my own and the evening just drags on, and then I turn to food *sigh* … am trying to plan things to do during the day, and in the evening (just stuff at home) but at least that way I have something to distract me. I can also start up my studying again as I have put that to the side. I also realised that all this stuff going on with my bestie has been getting on top of me so have had to take a small step back. It has been draining me.
Aaw you so sweet reading up on vascular dementia. Ive been doing some reading up on it as well to get my head around it. oh wow luv, you had a 16cm blood clot in your leg??? That’s scary!
I took mum for a drive close to where we live, was just nice getting her out. Its interesting though, she didn’t ask to come past home. she doesn’t mention coming home either. I saw her yesterday, she wasn’t having a very good day. she was in one of those “I am right and you will listen to me” lol … although I sat down and did some colouring in with her which I loved! That made my day 😊
How have you been? Sounds like you had a busy night the other night on facebook!! But its great that you took the time to educate others on mental illness. im so sorry it brought up childhood memories for you though luv ☹ I can imagine your brain couldn’t switch off after that to get to sleep.
How have you been the past few days? Hows your mama and son? how have you been feeling on your new medication? Have the side effects subsided? What have you been up to this week? Today I need to do some grocery shopping, and will then see mum this afternoon. Ive started going every 2 days but I wont be able to go tomorrow or Saturday so will see her today.
Do you have any plans this weekend? Ooh, are you going on your walk on Saturday morning with Dog? I hope so. I went for a walk with my friend yesterday and Monday. We both need to get back into walking again – we motivate each other, otherwise we cant be ar$ed lol!
All right my luv, I hope you have been travelling okay and thanks for checking in with me. Id say sorry for not having responded earlier but you don’t like it when I say sorry so I wont say sorry lol!
Big big hugs!

@Bella1978. So good to hear from you and no - no need to ever say sorry.
I can only imagine how hard it must be to be home without your mum after all this time ...
What about a craft project you can do at home? Maybe make something for mum. Do you knit or do tapestry, or sewing? Maybe do an art piece. Will keep you busy and I'm sure mum will love it, if you made it. What do you think?
I'm glad you've stepped back a bit from your friends problem. Soundsllike it's just too much happening at the same time.
Yes I plan to keep doing the Saturday ParkRun (walk). And I'll take Dog again.
My son is fine. Being a teenager. Making more grey hair for me. Lol.
Met mum in the main street. She looked so fragile and lost. She really has aged. She's gone from being 67 years old - to a 100 year old. It's scary. Anyway, I helped her with some stuff at the library.
No side effects with my large medication dose. All going well. Think I might ring my psychiatrist and reschedule my appointment from next week to next month - as I'm doing well.
The weather is freezing - but my bed with the electric blanket is nice and toasty warm.
Am having an iron infusion this afternoon. Iron reading was low - not too low but my gp thinks the iron infusion will give me more energy and make my mental health better.
Hope your day with mum is good.
Hope the new toilet has been installed. Very hard to use the pottywhen we are adults. Lol

Hey sweetheart, how are you? yes, I learnt my lesson not to say sorry hehe
You’ve given me some good ideas luv re: occupying myself at home. I do enjoy crafts. I have a mosaic candle holder that is ready to be grouted, I like colouring in, I can knit as well. thanks luv *mwah*. Tonight I came home after seeing mum – contemplated going to the shops to avoid coming home but I thought no, I gotta stop avoiding home. ive just been relaxing, had some dinner, now laying on the sofa with the heater on messaging you 😊
Good girl – very proud of you sticking with the exercise! And Dog will love you more than he already does! Hehe! Aaaah grey hairs – I cant stand mine atm. do you colour yours? Mine desperately need to be done! feel so old lol
Oh darling, im sorry to hear about your mum. 67 isnt old at all but health problems sure do age a person, don’t they? Would have been nice for you to spend some time with her and know you were helping her.
I found out today that my mum’s older brother has bowel cancer that has spread to his lungs. I don’t think it has actually sunk in fully – im sure it will hit me soon enough though. Life can be so cruel.
Such good news that things are going well with your medications luv, and great to hear you are feeling well. and keep exercising! As that will help you too.
OMG I LOVE my toasty electric blanket on. Did I tell you that I leave my fan on during the night? For the noise … I face it away from my bed lol … I cant sleep in total silence, and the radio just isn’t the same.
Wow luv, is this the first iron infusion you have had? And yes, it will give you more energy and I can understand what your gp is saying about it improving your mental health. ooh, you had it today. How did it go? You feeling okay?
Mum was the same this arvo. Bit irritable though, not very relaxed.
Um, the loo – will be installed tomorrow. Haha re: potty … mum’s commode has come in handy!! Otherwise I’d be screwed. You’re probably having a rest now after your infusion. Hope you are feeling ok luv.

Re: Battling MI whilst caring for someone with MI
@Bella1978. So lucky to have the commode.
Pity mum was still irritable today. I guess it's highs and lows with her at the moment. Must be frustrating for her to still be in hospital.
Yes first iron infusion. All went okay except took two goes and two people to insert the cannula. I have shrinking veins.
Can't remember what else you wrote. Lol. Stupid memory. And I'm using a new phone. My friend Sen me one she no longer uses. The screen is a lot bigger. Just have to learn how to use it.
Yes think I will sleep well tonight.

@utopia @outlander @Shaz51
hello 🙂
sorry i havent been on for a few days ... time keeps getting away from me. ive been okay. been busy, and had lots on my mind. i also found out on thursday that my mum's older brother has been diagnosed with bowel cancer, which was a big shock to everyone. i went to visit him this afternoon at hospital. he seemed ok, i can see he is trying to stay strong but he is very worried. they will operate on him to remove the tumour however, he has spots on his lungs which he will need chemo for.
mum is the same, has good days and bad days.
i think of you all and keep telling myself "i need to respond to my messages lol!"
thanks for thinking of me, i will try and sit down this week and type up a proper message!!
@Shaz51 I am so sorry to hear about your mum 😞
