Job Active etc.

Does anyone here work for a job active agency? Can give me some information?

I was sent a letter Nov last year from my disability service provider saying that they no longer have to service me as it has been 2 years. I thought ok, the last time this happened I was sent out a letter pretty soon after that from another dsp with an appointment. But this time that hasn't happened. It's been six months and I've heard nothing. I'm just wondering what the deal might be? Part of me is like, relieved that I don't have to face the pressure of the demands of random cruel people who work in job networks, because in the past they have pushed me to the brink and when I'm at the brink I'm a bit dangerous, but the other part of me is worried that they've forgotten me altogether... Truth be told I've been unemployed for many years. I have considered applying for disability but don't think I would qualify. I have had a couple part time / casual jobs during my years on the dole but always get let go because I have a very troubled personality and I have impulse control problems and lack interpersonal skills. I do volunteer work but the govt doesn't know about it. Any info you can provide me with appreciated.

Hi @CompulsiveWalke I think volunteering can count towards mutual obligation under certain circumstances. If you are on newstart the only way to be rid of job agencies is sick certs. My last one got rejected because they said I have put in too many so its not temporary so I have to look for work(?) I don’t really understand it. I rang agency they didn’t seem bothered and keep cancelling appointments without telling me. Apparently Im on some sort of ‘restriction ‘ but am still supposed to look for work.
Have yet another ph interview Monday might find out more then

Hmm weird. Centrelink seems to have forgotten me altogether. They don't seem to want me doing job active or whatever you call the des variant. Job active with disability employment service provider I suppose. Maybe they changed their policies yet again? I don't know. I'm too scared to call them in case they say oh, we realise our mistake - here go into the nearest job active. HA! No thanks. Can do without the stress.
