Fragile

Fragile

For a while I have tried to find a thread I had started when I joined the forum that could be a "home" thread for me.

Being busy about the forum has been a coping style, where I can acknowledge all my different life experiences that had been silenced. Possibly do some good and prevent things from getting worse. Like the little boy with the finger in the dyke.

Re: Fragile

@outlander My son spoke of the need to be real and honest without letting too much time go by before making up… I was direct too… but I will always remember how he approached me in reconciling. Big love and respect

@tyme @I am not sure what you do behind the scenes…. Obviously… but I have not always felt the forums to be safe for me

i am more interested in courage… and have done a longer study on fear… more specifically…. Knowledge of fear.. or … paranoia… I am pretty analytical about that concept…. Now I realise how atypical my childhood was..

I acknowledge I have known a lot of fear… someone once said I stunk of fear when I was in my mid 20s…it was a secretary when I was doing primal therapy

I didn’t realise it, nor did I realise the level of anxiety that was my norm…I was just struggling to stay alive, upright during the day and somewhat functional…. Fancy feeling words were not my vocab

@Glisten

yep I knew a bit of STEM but it was limited in the feeling and interpersonal domains

functionally I was driven to understand my very varied upbringing… unpacking concepts in my religion, education and social environment

I liked the word metanoia better than that other Greek label…

transformation is an interesting concept

Re: Fragile

A lot of it was historical @tyme

I am stronger and less vulnerable than I was when I joined, yet still have my vulnerable moments. Being assertive is new. I did feel some attachment to this thread.

I also don't want to cramp people's style.

Often shame and silencing go with mental health issues. It certainly was for me, so I believe it is important people feel free to express themselves and not have too many forbidden topics...I am also strongly NOT a dibber dobber. Lol.. Orphanage ethics

and you@outlander and @Shaz51 hugs and hope you are doing alright....

I am utterly exhausted with sore eyes and brain, but the day went reasonably.

Fragmented families moving forward with care. I am hoping for a good turning point for the younger generation.

Re: Fragile

Didn't you start it AND live through it hey

@Appleblossom I cannot believe I was so damn defensive and left Sane for about 4-5 years.

Today after sacking yet another carer iv begged for @Glisten to

Imagine spending some time with me. Shelle probably laugh at me.

You see what happened was

My last carer heard my story-- admittedly I just had you know the anaesthetic stuff to put you to sleep before being operated on and I go crazy for a few months after that......

She was calling me all damn day !!

She was wanting to be e with me even when she wasn't being paid !!
