Fragile

Fragile

For a while I have tried to find a thread I had started when I joined the forum that could be a "home" thread for me.

Being busy about the forum has been a coping style, where I can acknowledge all my different life experiences that had been silenced. Possibly do some good and prevent things from getting worse. Like the little boy with the finger in the dyke.

Re: Fragile

Hey @Appleblossom ,

so sorry to read of your latest challenges. If your son has half of your resilience he'll be ok. I know that doesn't probably help much with the worry and frustration you are feeling. It's really good that you have somewhere to vent. Venting is good too.

what have you been doing lately that has given you a lift in quarantine?. Mine initially was my garden. I finally planted spring bulbs after procrastinating planting them for years. I bought some bulbs with the extra Covid money from a one man stall at the farmers market. They are blooming now and it has an achievement factor at last.

💜😘

@Lostandalone @outlander @Maggie

Thank you

@TeejReally Lovely to hear from you. I have freesias and jonquils in bloom out the front atm. I am enjoying the fruits of paving my back area as I no longer trample in dirt and leaves and mulch into the house. I have begun painting the back rooms and plan to move there and sublet the master and ensuite.

Re: Fragile

Oh wow @Appleblossom . I'm so glad you shared that. It sounds like a huge achievement paving. I can see why your body might be have a tiff with you 😜.

My boys have dug up my back yard over the past few months. There was a disused pool from decade ago. They removed tons of concrete and filled in the pool. A deck is planned for the future. So I am currently in your previous position of having mud, thick sticky clay over half my yard. The dog brings clumps of it in everytime he goes out for a toilet break 🤨😏. My flowers are daffodils, jonqils, freesias and spiraxis. The daffodils are in full bloom and the freesias have buds. My jonquils are a bit on the slow side. I may have planted them too deep.

It sounds like you have some good plans re the house and maybe earning some money through renting out part of it. That will be my long term plan too. Good luck with the painting and go easy on your body, I know you have much more to do in this life yet. You are still an inspiration to me!

💜🤗

Re: Fragile

I managed to move through most of the trauma mode and/or mind. I can concentrate enough to play piano, and am throwing myself into it. Not tieing myself up in knots so much, about whether its alright to do what I live doing.

Re: Fragile

@Appleblossom Do what you love doing, your life is mainly yours now.

I’m pleased you have moved through most of the recent trauma. I hope each day some light shines. Lots of these for you. 💜💜💜💜💜

Re: Fragile

Thanks @Maggie My son is back in hospital. It is better he is there. I felt pressured to take him and it was far too early. They MH have to stop pushing people out, and ensure things are set up properly. Otherwise it is a waste of services. Like sending people out with open wounds. They would at least dress them if it was physical.

It means a lot to me that you check on me and post on this thread.

Playing a lot atm. Practical things can wait.

WIshing you warmth, good moments, and hope your pain issues resolve a little.

Re: Fragile

I agree @Appleblossom MH has a long way to go in addressing the core causes of people going there.

I’m pleased son is back there, if only for safety sake at the moment.

I care about you Apple. We understand without to many words being spoken.

Playing is such an excellent way to make it possible for you to keep going. Practical things will wait.

Pain is something I’m learning to navigate and accept, I think you might get that. I do have good moments, and I appreciate them, there was a time I had none. Anything small, is an achievement.

Warm thoughts Apple. 💙💙💕💕

@Maggie

Hearing you about bad times, when there not good moments. Gratitude for small mercies hey! There are the old ways (religion) and the new ways (medicine and science) of dealing with life. Both have something to offer. They should not be mutually exclusive.
