Something’s not right

They come in threes.

They come in threes.

On Friday (yep...the postie delivered on Good Friday), I got my letter to go in for surgery on the 23rd of April. I have cysts, polyps and fibroids and the gyno is going in to clean it all out and add progesterone. If it doesn't reverse the condition, I will probably end with a complete hysterectomy as one of the cysts is on one of the ovaries. I've been in pain for about two years...get your girls checked every year.

Anyway, I am week four of my uni studies and I had hoped that the surgery could wait till July midbreak but no. So I have just sent my academic a letter explaining what's going on and that I will need the session off. Hopefully he will accept it or this is going to cost me a couple of thousand dollars. To add to the whole picture...my computer is on it's last legs and I don't have money to replace it.

I should be suicidal...but I feel nothing. You know how some dogs are so ugly they are cute....well...my life is so full of bad luck it's actuallyh funny. Really, what is God going to throw at me...death?...oooohhh, I'm so scared! 😂

Hi @Lemonjuice,

I can definitely relate to what you said about life being so bad it's funny. That is very much where I'm at now. I'm so traumatized, I am numb. Yay for clever brains that know to shut down to protect themselves!

@Appleblossom that's sweet and beautiful. Thanks. 😊💓

@Phoenix_Rising lol, made to survive, even if broken.

I've sent a text to my lecturer letting him know that I want out from study this session. I'm not ready to go back...things aren't right with me physically or mentally. Waiting to hear back from him.

@Lemonjuice I hope you are able to withdraw from the semester ok. I deferred my studies about a trillion times when I was at uni!

Yep, us humans are definitely made to survive even if broken. I am so broken now I don't even know where to begin. According to TTT my only job right now is to stay alive. So far "right now" has been three months and I am wondering how much longer it is going to be until we get to step two. Methinks it won't be any time soon...

Re: They come in threes.

You're doing more than that, just staying alive, you and @Appleblossom amongst others are keeping me talking and from doing something stupid. Makes it even more amazing that you can put aside your own pain to do it. 💓

hi @Lemonjuice i jsut wanted to stop in and wish you well for your upcoming surgury. i hope it goes well for you and recovery isnt too dreadful.

i hope your uni lecturer and yourself can work something out for your studies, either defer or maybe go down to part time?

Re: They come in threes.

It is a legit reason for deferral @Lemonjuice.

I was once very upset about a change in study plans. I dropped out of Philosophy.

In the end I did a piano exam instead, never regretted that. I deferred other things here and there.

There are twists and turns in the road. You dont need to speed along.

@outlander @Appleblossom thanks for the kind words. I'm going to watch a movie and get some sleep.
