This is my special space and for now i will only talk here while i make myself feel safe.

For those tagged, it is because I connected with you on my previous profile. It is still going through the phase of being permenantly deactivated.

If you realise who I am or even if you dont, please do not mention my previous name for the sake of my sense of safety.

I am not up to talking about the specifics of my reason for changing but the basics are I felt I was in danger.

@Former-Member I dont mind at all feel free to come to my thread whenever

We had not spoken to eachother before this thread and its always nice to meet new people.
We have a lot in common I move states to get away from some of my abusers only one has ever been caught but he is out on parole now and every so often he makes an appeal for different aspects of his parole term. I think he should have been put it a cell and had it welded shut but thats my opinion.

As for my other abusers well they were never caught so its a fear everyday that I might see one of them again.

I too was abused in many different ways but I dont go into detail about it often but it started when i was three years old.
I know its hard to be happy and some days it feels impossible but maybe one day it will settle down and we will both know happiness

One of my abusers is a, Policeman believe it or not?
He got away with abusing me for 9 years of my life until a brake down, woke me up to who I really am!
"Sometimes it takes a person, to go as low as they can go, to go higher than they have ever, been before!"
I just made that up, but for me it's true.
Now I have to be done with all the, past, & start to really be me, & live! Amen!

Unfortunately people like to a use their power to push others down
I noticed you are part of the christian page, I was raised one but I have sort of drifted away from my faith.
I try to focus on the now like my study, my partner and our son and my crafts.
Its hard when the past creeps into now but I try to keep the past the past, the now in the now and the future in the future

Not the best today woke up feeling sick
On a positive note not as tired as i was yesterday so maybe my littles stayed asleep last night

Maybe i have a bit of ocd but waiting to go to the toilet at the shops and bunch of people walking out not washing their hands ahhhh not shaking hands with anyone today

I don’t think that’s ocd @Former-Member ..... I cringe when I see people use the toilets and then just walk straight out without washing their hands ...... it’s a pretty basic hygiene issue ......

@Faith-and-Hope I find it difficult to be 'polite' when greeting people who want to shake hands and all I can think is 'have you washed your hands' but then again I dont tend to really talk to people I dont know particularly if im by myself

You can always generate an excuse for when that situation arises @Former-Member ..... like saying, “I am sorry, my hands are a bit sensitive today. Do you mind terribly if we don’t shake hands ? It makes the sensation I am experiencing worse. I think it’s nerves, or something ....”

Thats part of the truth, you see ...... you have left out the part that says you are sensitive about touching other people’s hands, knowing how many don’t wash their hands after using the bathroom ..... and the nerves affected are not the ones in your hands ......

Its okay to do that. It’s part of your own personal self-care, and to that extent, it’s nobody else’s business ..... and that way you can still shake hands with people who are not strangers to you if you choose to ......
