Psychosis damaging my relationships
I've been living with psychosis for almost 10 years now, and recently have managed to enter into a much more organized period in my life. I've begun exercising self control, taking medication, and working through my intrusive thoughts and urges. Recently, I had the first moderately severe psychotic break I've had since I got my life in order. I became very uninhibited at a party and ended up damaging the trust in my relationship as well as my trust in my self. I'm worried that I haven't progressed enough in my recovery to hold a healthy relationship at this point in my life, but my partner isn't listening to me when I say that. I'm at a loss for what to do next and feel like all of the work i've been doing in my recovery has been totally non productive, but I don't see a new path to take with said recovery.
Has anyone else on here been in this situation before? What did you do? What should I do?
