What if?

What if?

I want to create a space where we can use our imaginations...

there are so many of us on here who are so very creative in so many remarkable ways...

I also believe that we are all intelligent in differing aspects of thinking

we support and show compassion to one another

many of us feel different...as though we don't fit in....don't belong...

is this really because of society's way of treating us....stigma...I am not diminishing in any way people's struggles...they are very real...

we have humour...

or is it another phenomena

what if:::

we have travelled here from another zone

we are here to observe the medical profession...I love this one...

we communicate with each other....in the real world?

which is our virtual world?

So what if

willing to add some thoughts? anyone?

Sooohhhhh anyone who wants to put forward an idea....add the far side....who is bored...

What if

I am just adding a few names .....not excluding anyone...just struggling to remember...

@CheerBear @outlander @Zoe7 @NameUnknown @Former-Member @Former-Member @eth @Mazarita @Former-Member@Silenus @Faith-and-Hope @PeppiPatty @Appleblossom @Former-Member @soul @Determined

@eudemonism @Friendconnect

please if joining in add names I have left out...Out of respect I have not included at this time those who are particularly struggling so as not to offend....

Re: What if?

Hi and good morning @Bunniekins. Saying 'so what' comes from CBT practice but I'm the first to admit I'm not good at doing it. But I totally agree about material posessions and what happens after death.

What if the afterlife is back here, right here, with a chance to do better than before - that's what I experienced after a very nearly successful attempt at ending it all in 1998. So not much point doing it again (aside from all the other very important reasons). I was very angry at first but later relieved, especially for my child.

Re: What if?

@eth

From that kind of perspective...using what if and then what next as a safety plan is not something to be philosophised about lightheartedly...

having different safety nets and using whatever you can at the time...mostly keeping yourself safe is so vital for people living with those symptoms..

I started this thread with

What if

from a different perspective...a question to make our imaginations come alive....another strategy to allow us to see that we are intelligent ...can think out of the square....can have conversations with others....can let our minds wonder where ever we want in a safe way of course...

a reprieve from overthinking...

a distraction from every day pain and fear...

hoping that I have not upset you in any way @eth whilst I don't have the same diagnosis I have been labelled along with major depression as having chronic trauma...

I have since read your last post as had this saved to check...

so very sorry to hear that you went through that...yes your child is so important as are you big hug xx

What if... The voice deep within my mind... Which has been drowned in the poisonous toxicity of this world... Has been right all along... And has known exactly what action too take... But because my aura was so sensitive too all the negative aspects of past, present and future things... I literally became debilitated and unwell?

Re: What if?

@eth,
I know that feeling and it is so true. Took me years to learn to keep calm and think rationally about what ifs.
I also have cPTSD aswell as dissociative disorder, generalised anxiety disorder, panic disorder, mild social anxiety and depression. So 100% understand how hard it can be to think how to prevent or what then when stuck on the what if

Re: What if?

Hi @NameUnknown I hear you.

I think @Former-Member was suggesting that this thread not be used for a serious discussion like this, although I'm glad to hear from you. Perhaps we could talk about it more on the "A Long Rave" thread.

Re: What if?

What if everything that everyone is going through is meant to shape us into who we need to be and are 💜

Re: What if?

What if peace of mind is not really that far away? What if you are able to give yourself the luxury of time and effort, in order to work on that most important thing of all in your life - your self? What if, by improving your self, you are able to improve life not just for you, but for everyone else around you? What if you challenge the patterns of fear, anger, and guilt that have been holding you back? What if you realise that most liberating of truths - you have the ability to reshape the perceived reality around you? What if neuroplasticity is real, and you can at least partially rewrite the 'coding' of your brain? What if meditation and philosophy aren't your thing? What if breathing is your thing? (I think breathing is everybody's thing, so here we have a common ground, yes?)

What if asking 'What if?' sets you free?
