Celebration and Recalibration
Hello friends, @Shaz51 @Mazarita, @Teej, @Faith-and-Hope, @utopia, @Owlunar and others who have been there over the past years with me as I was crawling through the agony of an insurance claim.
I want to share some very very good news with you all.
It is done! And found in my favour. I will receive a payout, just enough to finally pay off the remaining mortgage to secure our home for life. My future will still be a packet of mixed nuts, chronic pain and autoimmune gumf ...but... I am through and out the other side! WHooo Hooo! Thank you all so much for the hand holding through my travails.
I lost faith many times through this process. The process is incredibly anti-consumer. And in the past four weeks, as I knew the claim had progressed to senior management review, I had lost all hope that it was going to be resolved in my favour.Four years is a long hard haul of bureaucratic handling, of trying to stay "up" when you feel life's burden as a 'failure'. I have done a lot of work on myself in that time, and have come out the end of it surer of who I am in myself, wiser, resilient and with bits of happiness. Life is okay, today and that is all any of us have. Today.
Waves from the circus tent!
MoonGal's security made.
PS: I hope your day is going okay, I understand that although personally, this is good news, not everyone is in a place to feel good about it for me. If you are struggling today, I send you love and hugs.
