I have a new 'fp', and I feel like just giving up on everything really!! The paranoia, anxiety, and the fear that he is going to abandon me the next second just cannot seem to disappear. He is also the guy I'm seeing at the moment, which seems like a pattern for me to make every guy I'm romantically involved with, or I like, to become my fp. My first fp was my mum, but I guess after many years of finally realising that she is, in fact, not going to abandon me, I learned to cope. I doubt any guy will ever have the patience for that though, it just feels like I'm incapable of being loved. Or even worse, nobody will ever love me the way I love them, and I know love should be unconditional but it is just so so so hard sometimes and it just makes me want to give up on relationships altogether. The fear of me being abandoned actually then results in them abandoning me and it just ruins me. Completely shatters me to my very core, to an extent that even my family does not want me to get involved with a guy again because they are scared of me taking it too far this time. But I want to be a normal young adult, but why is it so hard just to not become obsessive, possessive, paranoid, crazy? I usually never show how I'm feeling either, because my dad had the same problems and I know how irrational it might seem, so I just let it eat me inside. I withdraw from everyone, even for my fp, because for all I know he does not loves me anymore and is already falling in love with someone else. It just destroys me in every sense and I do not know if it's even worth it. Sorry for venting but I really needed to get it out, I don't know what to do now. I've only been 'meeting' with this guy for about 3 weeks but I can already see him becoming my fp. Every day he doesn't talk to me all day, or goes out with someone else, or just answers differently! It sends me to a state of self-pity and self-isolation thinking how foolish I was to ever even talk with him. And I have sometimes thought it being to do with my self-esteem, but I am above average in looks and very confident in my body, however, my ex once told me that was all I could offer, sexual attraction. So in that sense, that is still stuck in the back of my mind. How could anyone ever love me for who I am?
