Something’s not right

My special place

My special place

Well yesterday certainly threw everything off track. But thanks to some very thoughtful and kind people I was able to get threw it and continue.

I cannot say a lot about what happened as I am sure you all understand but need this support in place.

Things WILL be ok, just a lot to work out.

Psych visit yesterday sorted out some of the things and more things will be happening early next week.

I am sorry if I put anyone through any despair, but unfortunately what happened yesterday morning had to be done.

Thank you all for your continued support.

Re: My special place

@Anastasia it is really hard to remember things especially with ECT I find.

Took my son to doctors Monday for immunisation. They then proceeded to tell me that he had already had it, I took him in in July.

Didn't I feel like the stupid one. Just one example, have a lot more too.

Re: My special place

I can relate @Snowie

I had two rounds of ECT of last year, well one and a half, as I refused to continue within the second one in late December. I have huge gaps in my memory from last year, big memories too - not just little, simple things. I find it very distressing that I can't remember things. 😢😢

Re: My special place

Thanks @WIP

I too have huge gaps in my Memory. I can understand the feeling of being distressed from not remembering things. It makes me feel so stupid and dumb.

Re: My special place

That sounds extremely difficult @Snowie @WIP @Eve7

You've all spoken of it. I am sorry this is the case. I am ignorant to it. I will read up on it to understand more. Btw you are not dumb dear Snowie, at all.

I am deaf in one ear and quite often answer wrong or not at all. People think I'm dumb often.

Re: My special place

I feel stupid and dumb for letting the new psychiatrist I saw at the hospital I was admitted to, talk me into ECT in the first place @Snowie
I was so unwell, that I didn't make an educated decision about it. I was so desperate to feel better, I would have said yes to anything.
I feel sad and regretful that I don't remember key things of last year - like most of the days leading up to and after my Dad's passing, including his funeral. Some small things have come

back over time, and looking at photographs, reading emails help a bit, but I don't remember details.

We've made a joke of it now, when Mum mentions something little or not super significant she told me last year and I just give her this 'look' & she replies, that's right ' you don't remember last year'.

Im sure the memory loss isn't all down to the ECT, some of it is from the trauma I experienced during the year, but still, it's distressing.

I used to have a fabulous memory. Oh well *sigh*

Re: My special place

Sorry everyone. Too uptight, exhausted etc to join in. Thanks for being so kind though.
@Snowie @Anastasia @WIP

Need to chill out and try and relax.
Might pop by later. See how I go.
