Something’s not right

My special place

My special place

Well yesterday certainly threw everything off track. But thanks to some very thoughtful and kind people I was able to get threw it and continue.

I cannot say a lot about what happened as I am sure you all understand but need this support in place.

Things WILL be ok, just a lot to work out.

Psych visit yesterday sorted out some of the things and more things will be happening early next week.

I am sorry if I put anyone through any despair, but unfortunately what happened yesterday morning had to be done.

Thank you all for your continued support.

Re: My special place

Had DBT today. We looked at emotions and the difference between primary and secondary emotions. Also looked at a chain analysis with some of the emotions.

Had my individual session. We spoke about my sh and what I could have done differently. Am going to try TIPP this week and see how that goes. Just have to remember to use it when I am in crisis.

I hope you both have had a good day today

Re: My special place

Sounds like dbt was quite relevant for you today @Snowie. I'm glad you're exploring other coping strategies for sh. It takes time to change those behaviours because often we are triggered so rapid which sends our emotions sky-rocketing. It becomes hard to think of other ways to manage when everything happens so quickly. You'll get there hun, one step at a time. 🤗 ❤️

Re: My special place

It was very relevant @Sans911

I have only had 4 sessions with my one on one person but she is very likable. I am slowly becoming more comfortable around her and telling her a bit more of my storey each week.

I find my emotions sometimes go from 0 to 100 in a split second. That is normally when I end up sh and doing silly things. It will take time but hopefully over time it will become easier. That is the hope anyway.

How are you? How has your day been?
